A horror film written and directed by Columbia native Chuck Fallaw will be the first movie to shoot at a new production facility in Cayce, South Carolina, reports The State.com. 1.8 DAYS is the story of five people who want each other dead, but who have to band together to take on a common enemy, reports the Movie Tao Productions. The film — which Fallaw calls a comedy, action, martial arts, thriller and horror flick — will feature veteran actor Gary Busey and Collective Soul bassist Will Turpin (odd casting, don't you think?). The projected release date is Halloween 2009 (isn't it always?). Producer Josh Dease says shooting the movie at Genesis Studios in the city just across the Congaree River from downtown Columbia will show people that his hometown has everything feature filmmakers need.

Busey sounds totally awesome. I hope he plays the old master figure to the martial arts part. It'd be great if he dispensed advice like this: http://revver.com/video/1040965/white-hair-dye-for -black-bears-startup-idea-from-gary-busey/ If he can do that for a virtual phone system, what can he do for a whole movie?!

Busey is scary just by himself. He doesn't even need to be in a movie or anything - he's just that fucking creepy!
