What is it with kids? They always seem to be creepy when it comes to horror films, which is why we're pretty excited to check out James Watkins' new UK film, Eden Lake, which follows a couple who are tormented at a lake by a group of children. While the film is slated to have its world premiere at Frightfest UK, we've been supplied with a brand new batch of stills from the pic, all of which can be found by reading beyond the break. Am I really the only one who laughed when they first saw that . . .? Please say I'm not. It looks like something out of one of those old cheesey 50's movies like The Blob.
This was a really disturbing film. And i rarely ever say that! Mainly because i can kind of relate to the subject matter and i come from a town that could so hsve these type of kids.
Jacques, an original horror movie full of potential is coming out, and you compare it to a 1950's cheese fest. Go watch College Road Trip and leave real horror to the fans.
I live in england and saw the premiere at the UK frightfest.
It should be making the festival rounds pretty soon. It comes out on general release here the middle of next month. But i'm not sure about anywhere else.
Texican666, this is original? Looks as cliche as Mirrors and The Happening to me. And it is just as cheesy. If true horror fans like myself don't raise our standards real, original horror that isn't laughable won't come out.
Well said Jacques!!! I, Quint's Machete, salute you!!! Great response!!! That last point you made should be burned into a wall at every movie studio. Hiya' horrorchick81, you're a hot black cat on a cold Halloween night!!!! MMMEEEOOWWW!!!!
yeah you guys may think this is far fetched but in england these kids actually do exist, there's groups of kids involved in stabbings all the time here
Europian horror films are some of the best out there, such as High Tension and Suspiria, this looks like this should be another one of those great Europian horror films. I mean sure, it would be better to have a film based soley on suspence, but I'll have to do with blood and guts, which is equally just as entertaining.
i agree with JPoole here in England these kids are everywhere , the majority of kids carry knives and arnt afraid to use them , the statistics involving stabbings here is alarming , over 400 each week i believe ,and that's just England !!
so , far fetched ? i dont think so.
