MANIAC COP director William Lustig broke the news at a recent screening in NYC that he is preparing a fourth entry in the franchise with co-writer Larry Cohen. “Larry and I have gotten the sequel rights back for MANIAC COP, and we’re preparing to do a MANIAC COP 4,” Fango reports via Lustig. “I don’t have any more details other than that; this all happened within the last month, so it’s so fresh… When I get back to Los Angeles, Larry and I are going to sit down and work on something.” The last time these streets were clean was back in 1993 when MANIAC COP 3 was released. In the original '88 classic, in New York, a man in a cop's uniform starts killing people for no apparent reason.
Wasn't the first concept for a Maniac Cop 4 supposed to be about a rookie cop assigned Cordell's badge number? Then this allows a possession to happen. Needless to say, I'm excited. I just watched all three back-to-back last week.
fuck this is wierd, i love 80s horror, itt's the era i grew up in, never saw the maniac cop movies, i just watched the first maniac cop just yesterday, fucking wierd!
i've only seen the first one i cant seem to find the others, shit i didn't even know that theres a third one. but if Bruce Campbells not in it it probally blows
Good please don't remake this film! I'm tired of REMAKES!!!
