Composing legend Danny Elfman will be scoring Universal Pictures' The Wolfman, according to AICN. Elfman is the genius behind the music in BEETLE JUICE, SCROOGED, THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, THE SIMPSON'S, SPIDER-MAN, TALES FROM THE CRYPT, ARMY OF DARKNESS and countless others. Check out his IMDB page and prepared to be impressed. THE WOLFMAN hits theaters April 3, 2009. Like the 1941 original that starred Lon Chaney Jr., new pic will be set in Victorian England. Del Toro will play a man who returns from America to his ancestral homeland, gets bitten by a werewolf and begins a hairy moonlight existence.
Yes! Now I have complete faith in the movie! Just as Mike my main reason is that Emily Blunt is in this.
I missed a lot of faith in this when Mark Romanek left the project but because of the fantastic cast, composer and story I honestly canīt wait. I also heard that nothing was rewritten which does give me more hope.
The bootleg trailer was good as well, canīt wait to see it in HQ.
CJ, Emily Blunt was in Devil Wears Prada, Summer of Love, Charlie Wilson's War, Dan in real life and Wind Chill. IMDB and google are your friends.

The trailer is still on youtube I think. Cant wait for this movie not to happy about Danny elfman though. Nothing against the guy his music works in the films he does, its just always the same theme over and over with little diff.
I love Danny Elfman, but is his style really appropiate for something like "The Wolfman"? Maybe he's going to switch it up from his usual stuff. I hope so at least.
Danny can create haunting, beautiful music which is what I think he would do for this project. I have been a fan of his for a very long time from his score for Forbidden Zone to Oingo Boingo to his scoring big box office films. I am thinking I want to see this movie...not a huge fan of "werewolf films" though. last ones I thought were interesting was Ginger Snaps.
i havent seen a decent freakin wolf movie since...
hmmm.
the original wolf man?
hopefully this isnt too bad, i like the cast, the director is OK i guess, and danny elfman is great composer
