I'm really looking forward to this, but that trailer is far to long and revealed to much. Oh well.

What they show of the baby - it seems like a normal kid. Wasn't the bady in the original more like a deformed monster?

even though there is NO NEED for a remake of this movie, i think if the baby looks right, it could be OK at best. prolly the only reason to go see this is Bijou Phillips... she's pertty

I've never seen the original, but I really, really, really liked this trailer.

I can't seem to find the original anywhere, but I'm interested in the remake. I really like Bijou Phillips.

The original isn't that good really. The acting is good, but the special effects aren't so you wind up sympathizing with the characters and their really sad story which sort of works against the super campy nature of the rest of the movie. And yeah, it was a deformed monster in the first one. I think that of all the remakes there are this is one of the more justified ones, since there's a LOT of problems with the first one since it was made for like $12 over the span of 2 days.

The movie is "okay" - I would give it a 4/10. Clearly low-budget, really bad CGI-Stuff, not very good acting, dialog that makes your ears bleed - but it“s funny (although it isn“t intended to be), bloody and trashy in a nice way. Cheap, dumb - but fun and not boring. I saw it at the Fantasy Filmfest here in Germany.

Seriously? If we're gonna have evil murderous baby movies, they could at the very least be hideously deformed mutant demon babies. Regular babies that eat kitties just don't strike me as the kind of thing you make a movie about. Hell, they don't strike me as the thing you make a four-minute trailer about!

This looks like absolute garbage. They've traded in the Larry Cohen wit for zippy posturing. No thanks.

The original is somewhat of a cult classic- the acting is bad and it's definitely a period piece, however that being said , it is a hell of a lot of fun and yes it has a cool mutant baby. I'm not usually one for remakes, but I like the idea of the baby being normal and I'm a sucker for Bijou Philips. If your a fan of hers, check out the over the top remake of "The Wizard of Gore." This looks to be,at the least, entertaining.

While I enjoy the original, I feel like it squandered an interesting premise and promising first act on a typical 80s stalk-n-slash finale. Here's hoping this one makes the most of it.

The whole killer baby angle is so hilarious, especially seeing the parts with the doctors being thrown around the delivery room, LOL! I love the original trilogy, but this reminded me just how silly the whole thing is. I do like how they're not making a shot by shot remake though, kind of adding their own touch by making the mother kind of crazy too.

i thought the teaser trailer a few months back showed the baby as a bit deformed.

Pretty bad movie back in the day and looks just as bad now.

The original is fun in a good cheesy B-movie kind of way and, believe it or not, it was kind of scary back in the day. But I sure hope they handled this thing right or it's easily going to be dopey as hell. I'll give it a chance anyway.

All these haters, swear... it's a movie. So the baby isn't a mutant - get some funding and make your own film. Stop whining and do something about the alleged "problem". If you don't wanna see it, then don't. No one's forcing you to go to the movie. WTH? Also, people keep talking about the lack of originality with the surge of remakes... I will agree that it's ridiculous that the writers go on strike when they are simply revitalizing work that has already been done - that's more simple than a job at McDonalds. However, all stories come from something else. Heck, it all started with various religions having different versions of "The Great Flood". There's nothing wrong with that. Some cultures believe that the power is in "how" the story is told - some of these filmmakers see a great idea from a previously made movie and are documenting constructive criticism and simply wish to see how their diagnosed improvements pan out. This is a B-flick - I'm not expecting some Academy Award material here. I'll probably get to see some titties, gore, and ridiculous death scenes, but that's what I'd be willingly paying for. It's not meant to be top notch horror. Anyhow, I think it's creepy as hell that the baby looks like a normal baby because this would be much more disturbing. I love babies and how innocent they look - this film will probably make me a lil' leery of them for awhile. After seeing this, some folks will be losing their designated babysitters for awhile. If the filmmakers had used a mutant baby, I simply would have no desire to see it because I've seen the original and my "suspension of disbelief" would simply not kick in.

You know why its irritating and sucks!?!?!? Because its ITS ALIVE - a remake of a cult movie liked by a lot of people for how Cohen portrayed it. It was dark and twisted. This REMAKE looks like shit. Like a festival acher trying to follow that witty pattern of poser shit and built up tension - IS IT MY BABY!? What a hunkof crap. Make your own film - dont try to suck off of fans of Its Alive. Thats where its lame. This movie trailer I just watched WASNT Its Alive...
