In addition t the revised teaser trailer we received this afternoon, Lionsgate released a new (and pretty damn cool) poster for their Saw V "Blood Drive", which can be viewed beyond the break. In the fifth installment of the popular SAW franchise, Hoffman is seemingly the last person alive to carry on the Jigsaw legacy. But when his secret is threatened, Hoffman must go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends. Jigsaw returns to action on October 24th.

I don't think neildiamondfan is a moron at all. He's certainly smart enough to see through the bullshit novelty that is every Saw sequel. Then again, you don't really have to be all that smart to be able to do that. The point is that the Saw sequels exhibit what is so wrong and yet so popular with so many horror projects anymore: there's all kinds of genre novelty just pouring out of it, but it just doesn't know how to tell a story or give a genuine, emersive viewing experience. And neildiamondfanis obviously able to see that. I'm sure he also knows not to underestimate the "average" person's ability to settle for the mediocre, hence the Saw franchise's popularity.
Saw 1 is the best of them all, saw II wasnt bad, saw III was crappy, saw IV wasnt great but it was better than III...
with every new sequel, it takes away the fun experience of watching the first two credible ones.

Sweet poster... I love all the saw films... I don't really watch them for a story I usally watch them for their deaths. If i want a story I will rent something with a story.
i know plenty of good horrors, but they probably won't appeal to you because there are people over 18 in it - and they might use words that are too big for you DOG FUCKER
neildiamondfan, i agree with being sick of the preteen horror saturation we are currently subjected to but i cant help digging the saw series, i think they stand above alot of modern shite despite them making three a week.

dr phibes, agree with you totally, unfortunately it seems that the only films churned out now are sequels - most of which are not needed - although SAW 2 was the best film in the series - as for SAW ROCKS - I would use him to wipe my ass, but my ass to good to have him touch it
