It's about time someone grows a pair and takes on the devil in a very real, a very non-cheesy way. It was announced tonight that Willem Dafoe (Daybreakers, Cirque du Freak, Spider-Man) will star alongside Charlotte Gainsbourg in Antichrist, which will be directed by Lars von Trier. Anders Thomas Jensen wrote the script with von Trier. In the psychological thriller that evolves into a horror film, Dafoe and Gainsbourg will play a couple who retreat to an isolated cabin in the woods following the death of their child. Production begins this month in Germany.
I've been waiting a long time for someone to make a quality movie about this. Love Willem Dafoe and Von Trier has good work to his name. I really hope this turns into something good.
Has potential I wish Willem was the devil though he is creepy as hell even when he plays a good guy, he still looks like he trolls the schoolyard fishin for saplings.
they should have marilyn manson's Antichrist Superstar as the song playing during the credits. just because it fits. but most movies having to do with satan that i have seen suck... so i don't know if i will see it... ill have to see the trailer.
I am really looking forward to this one. Willhem is a great actor and fits well in creepy movies....Look at Last Temptation of Christ;)
