never seen the original. but with it being made by the people of Saw 4-6 and directed by the genius Alex Aja, and being 3D i will definitely see it in theaters.

that's just fine w/ me! Aja & Levasseur have been consistently awesome in all their collaborative efforts. i'm just so EXCITED for Piranha 3D!! AJA RULES!!

Really scared about this one, like the people involved. The only way I think it could work is if you do it kind of in a joke fashion like slither an underrated film which is kinda what I think they will go for here hiring the feast writers.

Irish Mic, from what i've read in interviews w/ Aja, that's EXACTLY what he's going for w/ this. i believe the exact quote from him was "it's going to be boobs, blood and gore". LOL. Aja's making it seem like it's going to be a HARD R, gory, fun killer fish movie! :)

In the original Piranha it was so much goofy fun trying to guess which annoying stock character would be eaten next. It sounds like this will be one remake nobody will be complaining about...

I'm very excited. I love Aja. I liked 'The hills have eyes' and 'P2' (well he produced it). I love the idea of 3-D and I love the film 'Piranha'. And I'm seeing 'Mirrors' this Friday. I can't get enough of Alexandre Aja.

count me in too! i'm an Aja freak! i just LOVE everything he's done (even his produced P-2). and horrorfan25, if you haven't watched High Tension, Horror_Luva is so right, you NEED to watch and own it.

yeah, High Tension was really good. the twist was pretty fucked up.
