Let the Eden Lake hype continue! Inside you'll find your very first look at the UK quad for the latest UK chiller that will play at this year's Frightfest and arrive here in the States next year from Dimension Films. When nursery teacher Jenny (Kelly Reilly) escapes to the country for a relaxing weekend away with her boyfriend, she is unaware of a romantic surprise he has in store. The location is perfect. A lake enclosed by woodlands, seemingly deserted. The scene is set for a picturesque proposal. But before the happy couple can enjoy the retreat, their peace is shattered by a gang of violent youths. What begins is a shocking and unrelenting game of cat-and-mouse, as Jenny is forced to fight back against her aggressors.
The poster is okay. But I'm sick of writing this line with every new update on a movie: it sounds like a thousand other horror movies I've seen. Predator, The Strangers, and Them come to mind.
I don't really like the poster, but the movie sounds intriguing. I agree with Jacques about all of the similarities to other movies, but Them and The Strangers were very good.
BloodFlow what does "gay" mean exactly in the case of expressing an opinion over a poster? It reminds you of brokeback mountain or birdcage or what? Fucking asshole
The Strangers, Funny Games, Vacancy....can anybody write friking original story. Just read a Richard Laymon or Jack Ketchum book and make it a fucking movie.
