The big star of this October is going to be Lionsgate's Dance of the Dead (reviews), which arrives on October 14th from Ghost House Underground (part of their own eight Halloween releases). This afternoon IGN posted an age-restricted trailer for Gregg Bishop's film, which can be viewed inside. On the night of the big High-School Prom, the dead rise to eat the living, and the only people who can stop them are the losers who couldn't get dates to the dance.
wow, there gonna block you for being immature and too far gone.
It's all opinion at the end of the day. Just becasue they don't shre you're tatse does not mean you spurt homophobia!
It's entertainment anyway, what's the big deal?!
I was excited for this film but zombies leaping in the air and having Day of the Dead effects is terrible idea. It makes it look too goofy for say how Shaun of the Dead did it perfectly.
Automaton Transfusion was nowhere near shit especially considering the budget they had to work with. AT is Citizen Kane compared to the likes of One Missed Call, Shutter, Prom Night, and that's just recently. Even if a low budget indie horror movie isn't completely amazing I'll still respect it above absolutely anything that comes out of Hollywood because I know that it was made by people who are making it out of the love of the genre and not just to fill their wallets.
Good stuff but it doesn't begin to touch on actually seeing the film. Just too many good things going on in the movie to really do it justice with the trailer. I saw the movie at SXSW and Atlanta and will be seeing it again Sept. 5th in Rome, GA and can't wait! 100 minutes of pure fun!
But I'm biased...for obvious reasons! Have a nice day.
Where's Michael Jackson, I thought I was watching thriller all over again!
Getting a bit bored of Z movies now.
Still watch it though, it's bound to raise a giggle or two
I don't know why, but I've grown to be pretty fickle about zombie movies as of the last 10 years. It's always been the same tune, massive amounts of ridiculous gore effects and cheesy plot that makes you enjoy days like Night of the Living dead which gave you a variety of excuses as to why the dead would rise again. This, seems like a good alternative to watching High School Musical or Prom Night, just wish someone would try and breath new life into the Zombie Genre.
