You will never get any uncut film from Paramount, deal with it. And from what I heard, there were extras on some of these movies that were not on the stand-alone versions.

The 'old' set was cool and there was some cool bio stuff, but more extras are alwasy welcome. To see the polished uncut material will also be a nice touch.

I refuse to touch this new set unless the uncut versions are on it. I'm content with the boxset I already have.

Id rather buy the films sepertlt or wait until the 2009 comes on DVD cuz theyll definately include that

I wish they would release UNRATED cuts. Although, if you look at Paramount's track record, they care less about the want of fans. All they are going to do is repackage it and re-release it. They have done this with a few of their popular releases.

Everybody the word is spelled Blu-ray NOT Blue-ray or Blue-way!!! Also get with it people DVD is basically a VHS now, Blu-ray is the way to go!!

I think they should release it to standard DVD first then worry about Blu-ray later. All in all it would be awesome if this is going to be the uncut versions. I have the "Crystal Lake To Manhattan" boxset and I tought it was a good boxset maybe not the best but it was still good and plus you got a bonus disc that had tons of good special features for the movies. Anyways, I'll buy this if it is uncut! :)

I hope it comes out on Blu Ray or at least with extras however I watched Friday Part II the other night on my PS3 and it looked awesome!

its no real suprise paramount are re-releasing the the orgiginal 8 again in time for the remake, theyd be mad not to. the R2 Friday 13th is a great disc with a nice documentary on there. lets hope they put some effort in to the other dvds KM

Whether or not Blu-Ray is the way to go, it is still too expensive.

already got all the movies....but blueray..yeah..that'd be cool

UNCUT!!!!

I should hope that this is released on Blu-ray because I do not intend to buy yet ANOTHER DVD of anything Friday the 13th (except the series). Of course, it should still be available on DVD for those who haven't gone Blu yet, but for those who have shouldn't have to buy another DVD of something being released AGAIN.

I'm hoping for the un-cut versions myself, but I won't hold my breath. Funny that SplAtterDay mentioned George Lucas. He's the king as far as milking every drop from a franchise. He probably has 20 yrs. worth of new fx already finished, & he'll release a new edition for every single one of em', every few years because he knows the fans will pay-up!!!! Im sorry to break it for you but.. here is the new about the upcoming BOX - Set. The rumor a few days ago of a new boxset from Paramount is indeed true. I’m allowed to share some early news from a trusted source: The studio will only be re-issuing the first three films to tie in with the new movie– –There will, however, be new extras. No word on any uncut or 3-D versions of the films. Also, there is no Blu-ray release planned as of now. Personally, I think it’s the best way to go. Anything more than 3 movies at once would likely result in less time and care taken in creating extras. It’s conceivable they could do further chunks of entries down the line

This is sad, because I had my hopes up for part 7 I so badly wannet the uncut version.

I also wish I would have waited before purchasing my box set 3 weeks ago. I remember wishing years ago that they would release an uncut box set or at least actual complete box set... but wishes of mine don't come true...but maybe they will now very untimingly. If it's not uncut I'll easily skip it.
