This morning we added our interview with legendary horror writer-director Wes Craven, who was on hand at the San Diego Comic Con to chat about his forthcoming effort, 25/8, which is still looking for a release date from Rogue Pictures. As legend has it, a notorious serial slayer will return to the sleepy community of Riverdale to finish off the seven children born on the night he purportedly died. But is the slayer really dead, or is he still at large? Or has the mysterious evil personality that once impelled his bloody spree entered the body of an unwary teen, who will now be compelled to do his evil bidding?
Hey, it's better than all the fuckin mindless horror crap they have out there now. I'm actually anticipating this movie. It's been a while since we had a REAL long lasting slasher, and remakes don't count. Things like Hatchet couldn't compare to any of the slashers from the 80s. Who cares if 25/8 pulls some classic horror base cliches, most movies now do that, but worse.
I'd just rather see Craven make movies like his less cheesy The Last House on the Left. But then again, I was never much of a slasher fan, so to each his own.
Glad to see Craven is back as a writer/director! He's always been my favorite horror director and I'm so happy he's back. The movie sounds like a slasher which is great, and it sounds extremely original which is another huge plus! Can't wait!!!
im excited to see 25/8. When Wes Craven is on the ball his films are freakin awesome. Glad to have him back writing and directing his own material. even though it sounds pretty standard , its what wes does best and i feel this will be good.
atleast this aint no freakin remake! ill prob. check this out i like wes craven.,,,need to check out the interview woder if it talks about him directing or in anyway apart of idk even know why i even say it but for the scream four.
Exactly, we need more movies like this MORE than remakes. If this does catch on, and it becomes a franchise, it could very well be this generation's Freddy Krueger. And that's something this generation DESPERATELY needs, more modern day icons!
i had a nightmare about this guy when i lived in johnny depp's neighborhood
