Now here's a film I can get behind... Alex Pettyfer (Stormbreaker) will topline Tormented, a school-set teen horror pic about a bullied teen who comes back from the dead to take his revenge. April Pearson, Larissa Wilson, Mary Nighy and Dimitri Loenidas will also star in the film being produced by Arvind Ethan David's digital film studio Slingshot and new U.K. shingle Forward Films. "Tormented" is to be directed by shorts helmer Jon Wright from a screenplay by Stephen Prentice. Pathe Intl. is handling international sales and Pathe Distribution will release in the U.K.
I hoped by the 21st century horror would have evolved a little bit past these lame, unoriginal, cheese-filled plots.
