We broke the news on June 30th that Declan O'Brien was tapped to direct Fox Home Entertainment's Wrong Turn 3, now we have the first casting news for you guys. B-D reader 'Alex' tells us that Tom Frederic (Oxford Murders) will topline as Nate with Janet Montgomery (Hills Run Red) starring as Alex. Filming begins August 4th in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Fonda and her friends go to the woods for a couple of days. Her friends are killed by the wild, now staple mutant killer, Three Finger, who of course cannibalizes them. She is left to fend for herself, but not for long. Meanwhile some dangerous prisoners are being transferred by Nate Wilson, a prison warden, on his last day before leaving to become a lawyer. During transport their truck is attacked by Three Finger and the prisoners escape. While being chased through the woods, the prisoners come across an abandoned truck filled with bags of money. One-by-one Three Finger kills all the prisoners and everyone who searches for them ...

I hated the first one, couldn't bear to watch the second one. Maybe this will be a little better . . .

Awesome. Bring on the third nonsense gore-fest to my home! The first two were fun. My only problem with this is the plot.

The first Wrong Turn was a fantastic slasher film, and a wonderful throwback to those backwoods slasher films of yesteryear. Wrong Turn 2 was a COMPLETE disaster from start to finish.

I wish they would change the format and have the backwoods hillbillies/mutants get terrorized by the cast members of some WB syndicated snorefests. Making the hillbillies watch two hours of their shit would probably be murder.

ha, wrong turn 2 was a great direct to dvd horror movies, Not sure exactly what people were lookin for, the gore factor was right, the story even fit, based off of reality shows, it worked to me....

WT2 was the shit

Items like this really point out how bizarre horror fans are. Some hate both, some hate 1 but love 2, others like 1 but think 2 is better, others like 2 but feel 1 was better, and some love both... all of that reaction from just a handful of people who supposedly share a common interest. No wonder there is more hatred per square inch on horror message boards than at your average political demonstration! Personally, I liked WRONG TURN, but felt it was missing the sense of fun that, thankfully, Part 2 had in spades. I'm excited for a thrid film in the series, though the fact that it's being filmed in Bulgaria gives it a "Sci-Fi Original Movie" feeling that concerns me. If the story is set in that part of the world, fine (and it would represent an interesting shift in the formula, too). But if this is Bulgaria posing as West Virginia because the financiers are European hucksters out to make a quick buck, this one could be awful.

Yes! this sounds awesome. i like the prisoner aspect of it, kinda like See no evil. Wrong Turn 1 is a classic, but i think 2 is was really good and lived up to it, if they go about making 3 like they did 2, this is going to be great.

the plot sounds terrible to me. hopefully it's not as bad as it sounds. loved the first 2 tho.

IrvingWallace, are you high? Wrong Turn 1 is not a classic, and it will never be one, but it is a FUN movie. Wrong Turn 2 kicked ass though.

Dunno how I feel about this plot yet. I hated the sound of the plot of the second one though and I actually really liked it. Definitely going to give this one a try.

Wrong Turn was a splendid horror flick. 2 had potential, but the reality show gimmick is totally over-played. Henry Rollins should have been much more of a bad ass. If 3 goes back to basics, it'll pique my interest.. I'll give it a shot. The plot sounds tolerable.

I prefer the second film, the first 30 mins are a bit weak, but the last hour is swesome! KM

The first one was good i actually enjoyed it, the second was "interesting" but it wasn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I really don't think they need to make a third.

I concur with U-KNOW. These films are just simple, bloody fun. The fact that Stan Winston was involved with the original makes that one stand out for me. It kinda' had that old school vibe that a lot of films just don't have anymore. A simple plot, lots o' red stuff, sexy women. That's enough for me. I just want to be entertained !!!! "Alright, show me the tank, show me the tank....blow up"----Jaws.

cool! i agree, these flicks are meant to be fun, no awards here.. the first one was great for stan winstons fx, and the second tho it seemed a lil cheap at the start was a good take on them shitty reality shows.. plus i thot the general was awesome! "Birth defects? No shit."-----Wrong Turn 2.

I loved the first one and it is actually one of the reasons I got into shooting Horror films. As for WT2 it could of been better but it was good for the kind of film it is. I can't wait to see WT3.
