This morning New Line Cinema provided Bloody-Disgusting with the final official teaser one sheet for Friday the 13th, which is the exact same poster you've already seen sans the Comic Con text. The pic directed by Marcus Nispel is the retelling of the original Friday the 13th about teenaged summer camp counselors that are systematically slaughtered by a mysterious killer. Jason Voorhees will wear the mask and kill, keeping the famous setting of Crystal Lake.

That's a reason to be concerned not contented with IMO. It's not about liking the other Platinum Dunes remakes but about making each one look and feel different. The use of similar colors and sepia filters make them somehow look related to each other.

Kyle Davis is the one who gives Jason the mask in this movie. There is no Larry Zerner cameo in this one. Kyle Davis is that douche clerk from The Hitcher Remake. The Hitcher was by far the only inferior re-make PD has produced. Amiytville and TCM were both done very well (if not better than the original) as I am pretty confident this movie will be. Can't wait for more info and an officail trailer.
I enjoyed Amityville, TCM, AND The Hitcher, I am really excited for this movie.

If you actually read the blogs or read the interviews, you'd know how much they cared for this remake. And besides this is just a teaser poster, it does it's purpose: To tease. Also, this as almost EXACTLY how the posters of the 80's movies were. Like: Part 4 and Part 7, stop whining, because if you don't you're gonna end up very disappointed in life.

Jeez, you guys are real douches to each other. I mean, sure, the movie looks like, well, like every other friday movie, just done by Platinum Dunes this time, but that's what they're going for. No one really expects this to be brilliant filmmaking, just mindless entertainment. Same as the others, but with PD cinematography. This is just fun. Those expecting innovation should have figured out long ago not to expect it from the franchise, so why so angry about it now?

All the bitching about this remake is fucking pointless in the end. Because if you look back at the "Friday the 13th" film series, you will see that EVERY SINGLE SEQUEL after Part 1 was essentially a remake of "Friday The 13th" Part 1. And the original "Friday the 13th" was really a cash in to the success of the original "Halloween". I love the films (minus "Jason X" and Part 5) I grew up watching them. I have seen EVERY F13 movie in the theater since "Jason Lives". But even I can admit that most of them are shitty films. I hate when Fanboys try to find brilliance in things that really aren't there. These movies are not perfect. So remaking them isn't a bad thing. And just because it's Platinum Dunes doing it, people are bitching. Sadly it probably has more to do with people being bitter that these dudes are making the movies they always wanted to make. Just enjoy the fucking movie for what it is. A reintroduction to Jason Voorhees with violence, slashing, chases and the stuff we all expect. It's not that deep. Not that serious. And BTW, the teaser poster is cool, and effective. What the hell did you want? It looks better than that shitty FvsJ poster.

these guys are trying to give die hard fans what they want, jason back at crystal lake, with the looks and similar stories to the first four friday pictures, believe me this looks much better than uberjason
Whether it's a bad film or not, it'll be cool just to see Mr.Voorhees again. Going to horror films is like re-living my highschool years. My friends & I had some of the best times goin' to horror flicks. Some of us still go to a few together from time to time. Great fuckin' fun, good times!!!!! I said it was a response. A Cash In. It was basically Paramounts way to capitalize on the craze of a Slasher who strikes on a certain day. Halloween brought on Friday The 13th, which brought on My Bloody Valentine, and April Fools Day and any other slasher who strikes on certain holiday or day of note. Next time read before getting all ridiculous with your insults.
