This evening B-D reader 'Oliver' sent us in a bunch of behind-the-scenes stills (these are not official) from Lionsgate's Saw V, which feature some definite *spoilers*, so be careful before reading on! In the pics that have been circulating around the web, you'll see some familiar faces, alongside the new ones. In the fifth installment of the popular SAW franchise, Hoffman is seemingly the last person alive to carry on the Jigsaw legacy. But when his secret is threatened, Hoffman must go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends. Directed by David Hackl, the film arrives in theaters October 24th.
Uh...
I know it isn't much, but with every bit of new Saw V shit I get, the more excited I get.
After the greatness of Saw II and Saw III and the lack of greatness for the worse in the series (Saw), I was very worried about Saw IV, which turned out to be on even footing with Saw II and III.
But here, I have absolutely NO doubts, bring this shit on!
I also realize the Saw Hate mail will be pouring in... So I figured I'd get the one positive post in before everyone starts bitching about how stupid the franchise is and how nobody cares, which must be a true fact because NOBODY goes to see them, eh?
The picture with the 5 girls those girls are from Saw 4 those are the girls in the pictures hanging above the room in the hotel room because they were the girls Ivan raped which was the guy Rigg made get into the bed...
Poor Tobin Bell. Such a fantastic actor, relegated to becoming just another Freddy Krueger.
However, I liked the first Saw alot, though the sequels have gotten progressively worse.
I hated Saw 4, I never left a theater more pissed than after seeing that. They never explained why this guy was taking over Jigsaw. The writers probably didn't even know why yet, they just planned on figuring out a way to explain it in Saw 5. I will see this but if it's as bad as 4, then I'm done, lol.
People who say they hate the SAW movies are the same people that will go see the new movie every year, also if the SAW movies came out during the 80's everybody would look at them as classics. Be happy they still make Horror Movies!!!
Continuing chronic ash's thought, how about the fact that they cut John open and everything. And the fact that they revealed that this guy had been helping Amanda and John for some time (during Saw III and possibly even before then).
I don;t even know if Hoffman was his name, I can't remember. I'm talking about the killer from Saw 4, how it turned out to be that guy. I don't remember it explaining why he took over for Jigsaw in the first place.
For all those who say they hate Saw and thats its lame why even bothering posting something juss go on the movies you like and post there because obviously you like Saw or you wouldnt be here looking at pictures and reading stuff...
@chronic ash: Umm, no that wasn't the killer. Art was part of the trap, it was Det. Hoffman that was the killer. I thought that was pretty damn clear at the end of the film.
Yes I knew it was the detective but I didn't get why. I don't remember it explaining that at the end which pissed me off. I didn't want to have to wait a year for the sequal to tell me his stupid reasoning.
Screamer...as writer myself, I can understand why...The reason why is probably the next big twist(maybe for this one)...and btw dunno who said it, ut how do we know Megan good is Rigg's wife? was the actress in IV? can't remember. hope she doesn't perish in this one...love her, she is sooooo hot for a blak chic.
I think saw v was good. i was all into the movie and all.my friend was telling me that they may make saw 6 in october. cause at the end, when thay guy as getting crushed between the closing walls, the person was going down underground. i dont think they are done makin the sequnce of saws. there's gotta be a eneding to this, jigsaw in part is NOI done with his work yet.
