Forget the remake, I want to see the original! Check out the trailer inside for the 2007 Danish film “De fortabte sjaeles o", which is being remade here in the States by Universal Pictures. Titled Island of Lost Souls, Nikolaj Arcel has signed on to direct the remake of his own film, which is being written by Jennifer O’Kieffe. The story centers on a suburban teen who finds herself a central player in a centuries-old battle between good and evil when her younger brother is possessed by the benevolent spirit of an 18th century magician. The effects-laden film was one of the highest-grossing pics in Denmark last year. Strike Entertainment (Dawn of the Dead) will produce.
