Last weekend BC has the pleasure of chatting exclusively with Friday the 13th producers Andrew Form and Brad Fuller, who were on hand at the San Diego Comic Con to promote their remake, which arrives in theaters February 13, 2009. If you click here you can read the interview where they talk about the timeline of the film, how Jason moves "fast" and even find out a little about the origin of the mask (beware of spoiler). The pic directed by Marcus Nispel is the retelling of the original Friday the 13th about teenaged summer camp counselors that are systematically slaughtered by a mysterious killer. Jason Voorhees will wear the mask and kill, keeping the famous setting of Crystal Lake.
So where are you doom and gloom gang? There should be like twenty of you bitching about what phonies Fuller and Form are,and whether or not F13 will be PG-13...C'mon, you're not holding up your end of the deal! Tell us how much it sucks even though it won't be out for half a year. You guys are slacking!
It sucks! Happy? Actually, a reboot and combination of the first four films sounds awesome. It's safe to say Jason and the series as a whole became stale long, long ago.Later entries become something of a parady of what a slasher movie should be. I liked what Nispel did with TCM (don't hate me) and I'm hoping to see something along the same lines at least as far mood and tone and voice goes.
You gave the "Owner of the Mask" title to Kyle Davis? I hope he's better in this than he was in the Hitcher. Nice interview though...I'm glad some new info spilled out.
oh, it's gonna suck alright, big time, and all you assholes on here talking like this is the bible of horror will be moaning your asses off, and only then will you realize i was right the whole time.
thankyou.
You're right Evil Dead, I'm sure Jack visits ol' neildiamond fan, begging him to kill himself, before he kills others. That guy's a wasted sperm. "I'm only scared of what I can't see, & I can't see what he's staring at"----Man in the Wilderness.
awesome interview i cant wait for this to be released! as long as it is rated R and the blood and guts and old school jascon ill be a happy camper (no pun inteded lol). jason rules!
The Friday The 13th series isn't known for logic, but with Michael Bay now involved, it looks like the original film, by comparison, will be a Rubix Cube of intricate plot coherency.
Can't wait to see Jason get blowed up real good.
Yeah, I'm switching camps and keeping an open mind about this. I've been unabashedly bashing this remake, until I saw the teaser footage. I WANT to rip on this, a lot, but unfortunately it might be good.
"I spent eight years trying to reach him, & then another seven trying to keep him locked up, because I realized that what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely & simply evil"----Dr.Loomis.
Impressive Woodland Critter, Aliens is one of my favs too. Here's one for ya': "Very impressive Lone Star, too bad this isn't the Wide World of Sports"----Spaceballs.
LOL damn dude! and spaceballs is one of my favorites;) "Oh, my God! It's Mega Maid. She's gone from suck to blow."---Colonel Sandurs, Spaceballs.
