Also, the mask shown is perfect for slapping on your desktop background, look at that, it's on mine now! The pic directed by Marcus Nispel is the retelling of the original Friday the 13th about teenaged summer camp counselors that are systematically slaughtered by a mysterious killer. Jason Voorhees will wear the mask and kill, keeping the famous setting of Crystal Lake.
I was thinking about this and how they said it's a stand alone movie. They better not cut his head off at the end...I would be so disappointed. Hopefully he is left with the trademark ax wound at the end of this one. Can't wait till more stuff is up on their site!
I edited the picture a bit so it fits better on my screen (15.4 widescreen). The hockey mask seems to be more centered.

Looking forward to the flick. I actually like the old school "Friday the 13th" text as the main idea for the poster as opposed to the hockey mask. Seems to obvious. Maybe go with the machete.
this is goin to spawn more squels guys...remember when they were so sure that Friday the 13th 4 was goin to be the end of the series..and then sudenly they came out with part 5. dont worry..remember this is a new era and they must be careful with this importan project so they wont dissapoint fans like us.

So I thought I would tell everyone the ending of the movie! So it will comedown to four! Whitney who will still be missing and Clay,jenna and trent together looking for her when trent is sick of sticking around and will tell jenna to leave with him or she will die but she will choose to stay and help clay! Then trent will go on his own and die! Clay and jenna will find whitney which will be an emotional moment then clay will be pulled out of the window like in the teaser trailer! Then jenna and whitney will go to save him and jenna will sacrifice herself for clay and that is when jason will charge whitney with the machette also in the trailer and clay will tackle jason and fight him! during the final fight with clay and jason, whitney will get the machette and swing it and cut jasons face like in part four and then out of rage and hate for jenna being dead and the whole night going the way it has clay will furiously hack jason up to make sure he is dead!

I just read an article from MTV or something. They talked to the cast of the movie. There will be 13 deaths in the movie, and they described it as having plenty of violence, sex, and weapons. They said you will what Jason does when he's not killing. Then the joked that he plays guitar hero. Then they said he does play the banjo, "and people will see he's actually good at it." I'm thinking it may be part of the guitar hero joke, but who knows? I think that would be really stupid.
I think it's insane for Brad Fuller to say they won't do a sequel. YOu know if this makes a ton of money (and it will) they will get to work writing a script for another. The only way they can end it is to cut off his head, which they might. Or they could do a Hallaoween H20 trick and put the mask on someone else cut his vocal cords and have him be "Jason."
