Today we were provided with an exclusive clip from Universal Home Entertainment's DVD/Blu-ray release of Doomsday, which arrives at retailers on July 29th. DOOMSDAY is set three decades after a lethal virus tore through a major country, leading to the country's walling off. When the virus, known as the Reaper, resurfaces in another country, an elite group is dispatched to the infected country to find a cure. There, they end up shut off from the rest of the world and must battle through a landscape that has become a waking nightmare.
Doomsday is more goodness from Neil (Dog Soldiers and the Descent) Marshall. At first blush, I thought oh great it's Escape from New York meets Road Warrior with a bit of Gladiator and Excalibur.... but then I realised that that wasn't such a bad thing after-all. So, I'm looking forward to Neil's next project... Drive... Sure does like the letter "D."
