B-D reader 'Joey M.' came across the official teaser poster for Lionsgate's My Bloody Valentine 3-D and sent us the pic, which you can check out inside. In the remake arriving in theaters January 16th, Tom (Jensen Ackles) returns to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of the Valentine's night massacre that claimed the life of 22 people. Instead of a homecoming, Tom finds himself suspected of committing the murders.
I love the poster, and I'm actually getting excited for this. Who would've thought a movie that was written by Todd 'Jason X' Farmer would get me this interested?
Yeah, that's a cool poster. Something tells me this version of MBV isn't going to change the world or become a timeless classic, but it will be a hell of a lot of fun.
here's a better, close up look at the poster. i LOVE how the blood is dripping down all over it!

i hope that they'll be able to use this poster in theaters considering it's so (awesomely!) bloody. you know how the MPAA is (or whoever censures posters). i hope they stick w/ this incredible poster!
I love that poster but they should take that "3D" off because it gives the impression like if the original movie was going to get re-released in 3D. lol
It's funny how the 3-D scares people so much. This is a slasher movie. There are no dinosaurs, underground oceans, etc., so there's no reason to imagine there will be any more CG involved than is absolutely necessary. And considering how much money is being spent on the 3-D process but how low slasher film budgets usually are, it's unlikely they'll bother animating anything they can do with latex and stage blood. JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH looks bad because of the crappy CG (not to mention the cast, the unfaithful adaptation, the terrible ad campaign, the...), not because of the 3-D. Blood, guts, boobs, and blades coming out of the screen? I'm in!
LOL
i really like this
MUCH better than the Friday the 13th and mandy posters.
