Today the second full trailer was released for Sony Home Entertainment's RESIDENT EVIL: DEGENERATION, which is slated to arrive in stores on December 30th. The "Umbrella Incident" that took place in Raccoon City was ended with the eradication of the deadly virus by a missile attack ordered by the government. As its operations were suspended on a global scale, Umbrella Corporation stock plummeted. This serious blow to the business giant resulted in its complete dissolution. 7 years later, at an airport somewhere in the United States. An ordinary autumn afternoon. One zombie is unleashed into this peaceful scene to attack everyone. In the airport starting to fill up with the undead, the horrific disaster is about to be repeat itself...
I wouldn't say the MGS movie will be a Hollywood fuck-up. The screenplay is being written by David Hayter a.k.a the voice of Solid Snake, who knows the story better than him?
Anywho, I'm excited for this movie :) Big RE Fan :D
Who knows the story of MGS better than Hayter? Well, I'd think Hideo Kojima knows the story BETTER than him. Kojima CREATED MGS. Hayter's just the VA for Solid Snake. But yeah, this trailer has "win" plastered all over it. You can't go wrong when you have actual people from the dev teams guiding the process!
This movie looks fuckin sick its the games boosted up anotch to kick ass. I hope they make the games like this I know number 5 looks sort of like this.
Wow. Using the music from the RE2 video game gave that trailer a nice effect. And the creature at the end with the huge eye, could it be... William Birkin? Sure did remind me of him. Oh, and I hope we get to see Hunk in this film.
The plot is incredible, but I'm not a huge fan of the CGI. I wish that this one was acted out by real people. I think by doing that, this one could be terrific.
Haha, this looks absolutely horrible. It really blows my mind people are excited about this. The CGI looks atrocious, the dialogue and voice acting is terrible, and the music sounds like someone recorded it on a Casio. And, as stated above, I'm guessing the monster at the end is William Birkin. Although it doesn't really make logical sense because by the end of RE2, he had already mutated into something that looked entirely different than the phase shown in the trailer. Even with all of that said, this will probably be better than the live action movies.
Looks good to me! Certainly not "atrocious" as Mr. Happyjoy stated. And how could it even be called Resident Evil if there wasn't an element of cheese in the voice acting??? But I disagree with the guys saying the mutant is William Birkin. It's just another mutated boss creature created by a similar virus.
Excusing shitty acting just because it's a RE movie is a cop out.
