I thought it got killed by a mediocre lead actor. But I could be wrong.

I thought the film did well in the box office, well w/e, i think he just didn't want to return.

besides, I highly doubt any one have been hoping for a constantine 2 three years later i mean the film is forgotten

yah it is but i saw it in theatres with a friend and I thought it was good. really would of liked a sequel though

Strange. I recall hearing that Francis Lawrence was interested in doing a sequel, but at the time Keanu wasn't interested in returning to the character. Too bad. I would love to see a sequel.
