Although we have yet to confirm the news (it's 8 AM here), B-D reader 'Oliver' tells us that the first official trailer for Lionsgate's Saw V will be attached to prints of THE X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE this Friday. If this is true, that would mean we'll be seeing it online as early as Friday, maybe even tonight after the panel at Comic Con? In the fifth installment of the popular SAW franchise, Hoffman is seemingly the last person alive to carry on the Jigsaw legacy. But when his secret is threatened, Hoffman must go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends. The latest sequel arrives in theaters October 24th.
Wow. This is probably the earliest we've ever seen a Saw teaser. I guess Lionsgate couldn't finish the teaser in time to attach it to The Dark Knight, so they're gonna attach it to the next big movie this summer. Good move on their part, rather then attaching it to the next wide release Lionsgate movie, Disaster Movie, they're attaching it to a movie that people are actually looking forward to.

Boycotting all Lionsgate things, including Saw, until Repo! gets a proper release. I love the Saw franchise, but the only way we're going to get original content in theaters is to stop seeing remakes and sequels.
After hating Saw IV, I'm interested in seeing how they do with the fifth. It could either suck, or be decent, as far as I can see. However, as a lover of the first three installments, I do hope this one blows me away. But, there's no way I'll be seeing this one in theaters.
Hurmoth, i kinda agree w/ you. Lionsgate NEEDS to give REPO! and Midnight Meat Train (which supposedly opens in a week, but NO info on which 100 theaters has been released!!!) a proper release! the only reason i'm still giving LG a chance is because of the upcoming My Bloody Valentine 3D remake (which i'm psyched for!).
I don't know if any of you know this, but the trailer is now online. Also, it deffentially shows strahm in a trap, so whoever started the earlier rumor of him being in a glass box trap was right.
