If you head on over to AICN you can check out your first look at Marvel's upcoming comic adaptation of Stephen King’s classic novel THE STAND, illustrated by Mike Perkins and written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. After the world is decimated by a man-made plague, a battle of literally Biblical proportions ensues between the survivors. Watch for more hopefully from the floor of the San Diego Comic Con.
I can't wait to get my hands on this one. I love The Stand. I read the book about once every year, and watch the movie about once every 6 months. Can't wait to read the comic.
Now THATS cool! Yes! Cool. Mick Garris sucks really really really really really bad. I'm glad someone else is picking up The Stand, even if only in comic form. But hey! No budget restraints in comics! Perhaps that is the media that will treat Maestro King as he deserves.
