Today we scored a look at the first five official stills from Dimension's upcoming DVD release of Feast 2: Sloppy Seconds, which we're told hits retailers on October 7th, even though the film is listed as streeting on October 21. It is the morning after, and we pick up with the survivors of "Feast's terrifying night before. There are more monsters and they are even angrier/hungrier. The monsters have made it into the small neighboring town in the middle of nowhere and the surviving locals have to band together to figure out how to survive. Like that is even a real possibility. Will Honey Pie pay for her desertion? Will Tuffy make it to Heroine's kid in time? Is that Harley Mom's twin sister? So many questions, it will take another sequel to answer them all. But for now, we can only sit back and be terrorized.
This is purely speculation, but I think that maybe this was a pic that was taken on set, and not an actual screen shot from the movie. I the first, the cinematography and editing style never allowed such a straight forward look at the monsters, and since the same guy is directing it (same screenwriters as well), it seems highly unlikely that something so bland (with regards to the actual photography, what's HAPPENING looks hilarious) represents a finished portion of the film. But again, that's just speculation.
I think the creature costume looks fantastic! If this IS a movie still, then chances are there will be a light filter applied to the final scene...making it appear to be night. The creatures burn in the daylight remember!
i agree w/ deadlover. this is obviously not an actual still from the movie. it MUST (i hope!LOL) be an on set pic. i have faith/hope this will be as good as the original!!
Thank gawd for film makers w/ the balls to use Practical Effects...we'll just have to hope that they are also smart enough to disguise the "rubber suit" look w/ good editing, blocking and night shots, etc.
The chips backwards is pretty funny too...
The pics look awsome! I'm so psyched about this movie. I really hope it lives up to all the hype...
"FYI, there are new monsters in this movie, as well as the monsters from the first film."
Thats the fisrt thing that came to mind when I saw these pics. Although I haven't seen Feast in quite a while, the monsters in this look a lot smaller that the ones before from what I can remember.
I agree that these daylight scenes look pretty badly lit and framed. I hope they are set pictures and not official stills - I'm also wondering why the monsters have lost their "coats" and look slimmer. Perhaps this movie's been taking in a very different direction. Either way I'm looking forward to it!
Eh. The first was interesting. This looks about the same.
