Today we scored a hi-res look at the first official image from New Line Cinema's Friday the 13th remake, which arrives in theaters February 13th, 2009. The image you'll find inside is so large that we were able to give you a much better look at Jason Voorhees! What do you guys think? Talk about it below! The pic directed by Marcus Nispel is the retelling of the original Friday the 13th about teenaged summer camp counselors that are systematically slaughtered by a mysterious killer. Jason Voorhees will wear the mask and kill, keeping the famous setting of Crystal Lake.
One word describes this pic. AWESOME!!! I have a feeling this movie is going to rock! I have a ton of faith in Platinum Dunes producing this remake, especially after seeing the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake back in 2003.
did he really need to be wearing a T shirt with a coat? like he actually took the time to put a ****ing coat on over a T shirt?
AND look at his neck, Jason even in his zombie days never looked like he was on roids with a tripple neck like that, this is not a good looking version if you ask me.
This is much better. The neck is right there with part three and there is not too much hair. Except for the hood on the jacket I am impressed, the hood is the only thing that makes it look bulky. There is no giant machete holder either, just looks like he sticks in a belt loop or something.
Not trying rankle anyone, but the mask looks like it was cut and paste to the face pic, and the jacket t-shirt bit doesn't do it for me either, oh well, maybe after post production it will look better. I admit the mask looks great though.
IMO Jason looks kinda silly; his clothes are too clean and they appear articificially torn. Probably he's got a tailor and a washing machine this time around. Maybe it's just a bad picture.
korollocke all you are doing is being a negative nancy for all those how are looking forward to this movie and by saying not trying to piss off anyone and adding negative comments makes you more a dick lol jason looks awesome and to add to jasonlives1986 jason did have a huge neck if you remember friday the 13th part 3 the 3d movie, that dude looked like he would crush anyone and so does this jason, he looks freaking awesome and i hope to see more pics and a trailer soon cause this movie will kick so much ass come feb. friday the 13th 2009!
Like i said not my thing, no disrespect to any of you i just expected a more sinister looking jason, not new york club goer jason. Right of doom 81 don't be uptight because not everyone follows what feel is great, different people have different opinions some good some bad. In all seriousness i don't find the new look meanacing in the least, looks like he could be jumped and clobbered by a bunch of school girls. his outfit should match the wear and discoloration of the mask, does he wash after every kill and us fabric softener? this also the first image we have of the new jason, hopefully it will look better in the movie.
If he's supossed to a hunch back or have a hump why is he standing straight? why the need to make the new friday fun? It should be balls to wall horror, but nooooo... the dumd fuck director had to add comedy, you really expect me to get behind this ass stain of a remake???? mayhem i hope you get everything you want out of this and the final product makes me look like a total goon for being the greatest friday ever.
Looks pretty awesome to me. I'm starting to get excited about this, platinum dunes did good with the TCM remake so fingers crossed. Hope this movie takes Jason back to being fucking scary as seen in the first 4 Fridays.
Jason looks GREAT in that picture! He looks like a man in a mask ready to tear some new assholes, not TOO big and zombie like - he looks human, I LOVE thant.
KM
Well, the pic isnīt bad. I love the blonde head staring at Jason. I hope in post-prod they give a rotten aspect to that swollen neck flesh. and what about this hands? I canīt wait to see the movie but iīm not specting a great thing. Texas Massacre 04 sucked!
idk, this jason looks pretty damn intimidating to me, but no one really knows what the finish product will look like til it actually comes out, and jason could end up being the biggest emo pussy in the world but i doubt it cause if jason was anything through out the movie series but freaking bad ass, the one thing i ask for is if the guys are gonna get there ass handed to em by jason, atleast attempt to give him a fight ya know what i mean lol
I was never really a big fan of Jason to begin with. Let's hope it gets me interested. I'm lookin much more foward to a nightmare on elm street remake, Im pumped for a new freddy. robert englund will always be the true freddy but this remake needs to be done.
Didn't like the jacket at first but it makes sense if you're killing outdoors! Looks like they're going for a 'realistic' take which is ideal for Friday the 13th- no zombieJason ever again PLEASE!!!
I am also in the minority...that doesn't look all that menacing. Truthfully, I feel a bit let down. It pretty much looks like Jason from F vs. J except he isn't purple.
You guys are actually complaining about the size of the neck of a guy who is supposed to be really deformed? What the hell? What next, is his eye not going to be far enough to one side? Are his teeth going to be one fraction of an inch too long?
He looks great. And why would everyone here expect him to look any dirtier than he does here? He's not a zombie this time around, so why expect him to look like he just crawled out of the ground? And the lake is filled with this really cool thing called water, by the way. I'm sure even Jason could have figured that one out.
count me in, too! i LOVE this new Jason look! i love how his hair is scraggy and his veiny, thicker than thick, neck. the t-shirt looks cool to me now (in the small, faraway pic it almost looked pink!). it's filthy & full of holes, very cool! and Jason being human again is awesome! the whole zombie thing is/was tired(IMO). this movie is going to rock so hard!
OK, much better! At least he does'nt look like Marvin the Martian any more. I think the look is right on since we are just being introduced to Jason for the (first time). As I recall Jason was fairly skinny with the hood on, it wasn't until part 3 where we started seeing a more bulky killing machine. So I'm fairly excited again, If Mears continues to play Jason I asume he will put on more bulk as we go. Can't wait to see him unmasked now!!!
I still think the picture looks photoshopped. None of the lighting on him seems to match with his surroundings. Perhaps early CGI stage ;p I know how you roll, Michael Bay.
On second look, I see a couple of problems. First of all, there's no tits or ass in this shot. WTF is up with that!? Secondly, was Linda Blair on the side of the set puking into the water? I would think the girl swimming would have had her skin start bubbling all acid-like after jumping into that big bowl of pea-soup. She should at least have a few chunks in her hair. ;)
Much better pic even though its the same one just up close. He looks better up close but why a jacket he looks wierd and his pants are way to clean but I like it. cant wait !
I wouldnt mind the jacket if it was zipped up and covering that stupid t-shirt. And everything else is looks great except the wisps of hair...Should have kept him bald, damnit.
I like it, but I just hope this is only the first of a FEW images of Jason. I really think that they should keep him in the shadows aka Final Chapter. I just hope a million more pics of Jason aren't coming, because thats what ruins the affect of seeing him in the actual film.
Michael looked excelent in RZ's Halloween but after a million stills of him, seeing him on screen was not scary.
Does he wear the jacket throughout? Maybe it belongs to one of his victims & he's wearing it to 'disguise' himself to trick the girl? Agree with Halloween_Night, less is more
I'm going to start a petition to bring the one-eyed potato sack back. And about the coat--it would be much more fashionable if it were a hoodie, and those jeans were Rock & Republic. Of course, if that were to happen, we'd probably have Queer Eye for the Psycho Path on our hands.
..and hes wearing pants too?! and a mask?! WTF?!? i think it looks sweet! but then again i dont need much to get me excited do i? lol mhmm i wonder what J would look like with MY sack on his head? lmfao
Who the fuck cares what he's wearing?? Good god people this is JASON VOORHEES!! It doesn't much matter what the fuck he's got on as long as he chops up some fuckin' ass. Give it a break children...Let's wait for the end product.
Honestly, I don't know whether I love it or hate it. I haven't been wild about any of Jason's incarnation since The new Blood. In motion this could look excellent or horrible. 've touched up the photo to be more in tune with my own ideal for the character. See it here: http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f399/visitedbyvoices/jay0 8.jpg
fuck theres some real idiots in here, who gives a jerk off what he's wearing ?
Further more, for all the moaning assholes who say it's gonna suck, you'll be the first pricks lining up to plonk your money down and watch, so shut the fuck up.
And by the way, this is not a remake as such of F13TH , as more a remake of F13TH PT2 and 3 .........got it? good
Thanks Wolf_Geek, but thats what I think really ruined RZ's Halloween. I really think this should be the ONLY image of Jason we see until the movie or atleast until December when they begin to hype the flick.
Less is more and I'm kind of sick of Jason wearing a jacket, it just makes him look bulky aka FVJ, they need to just take the Jacket off and he'll be fine.
Is he holding a small knife? Cause i see the silohette of a Machete on the right, but the way his hand is positioned its not possible he would be holding it down, and it looks like a small knife in his left hand. What do you guys think about it?
Im surprised I am the only one who noticed this.
right it doesnt matter what he wears, hell Jason can wear a robe and some of you childrens would still say that movie is awesome. i'll be the last person to see this i'm not waisting money on that...so instead of saying anything shut the fuck up and go embrace more your Friday The 13th Michael Bay/MTV version. Friday the 13th will be nothing like The Strangers now thats what an horror movie should be and i want to pay to see.
I had a coat just like that when I was 5. At least now with the close-up....I can't see that God awful lame smoke lingering around. All in all....this pic does nothing for me. We'll have to wait and see how the movie turns out.
im more scared by how she is swimming in pee rather than how that dude is looking at her.
i honestly dont think he is that scary. I think everyone here watch the movies when they were little and thus, are now scared of him. I never saw the films when i was little, so now when i see him, im not scared. or excited.
but i am excited about another slasher film!!!!! :-)
so I really hope this is good, cause i plan on seeing it just cause its a slasher, not cause jason is in it.
Ha, New outfit, At first glance of the image where he is far away i was like WTF, why is he wearing a leather jacket. Then I looked at the zoomed in image and found out it wasn't. Eh, I'm a little skeptical about it all. I mean the water looked disgustin and normally people don't swim in water that looks like urine. But more then likely the movie will be good. Also I just want to see Danielle Panabaker die!
Q? If in fact this is a remake of Friday the 13th..why is Jason even in it? Is this a remake of part 2? Using the part 1 as an introductory prologue? Jason only appeared initially to avenge his mothers beheading...
It would be nice if people could finally get that while this movie is called Friday the 13th,that doesn't mean it has to be an exact replica of the original. The whole reason they're making a remake, is because they want to tell Jason's tale. Jason was not the killer in the original, but the whole Friday the 13th story revolved around him. His mom became a murderer because the camp teen counselors let her boy drown. Everyone has always wondered how did he grow up to be a grown up menacing killer if he drowned? That's why they saw a need to remake this franchise to clear up and answer these questions. Who would really want to see an entire movie about Pamela Voorhees again? How many times have you seen Mrs. Voorhees masks at Halloween? None. THat's because Jason sells tickets, not Pamela Voorhees. I've seen 100 posts about people saying "How can Jason be in it, he wasn't the killer in the original. Pamela Voorhees will kill in this movie, then she'll die and Jason takes over. They're just speeding her part up is all.
He looks alright, I guess. His legs are too skinny, though. Unlike Michael Myers's Rob Zombie version, Jason WAS meant to be a hulking beast. That's how ALL the Jasons were(2-FvJ). And I agree, I mistakened the shirt for his skin. Urgh, shirtless Jason wearing a jacket? Horror movie monsters of Jason's caliber should never be prettyboy-ed up. And why does it look like his shirt has bullet holes in it? Last, I do think people care about what he wears, despite many saying they don't. Had they dressed him in a Speedo, I'm sure all of you would be quite vocal about that!
Personally, I'm very happy with the look. I think he looks like an actual person again, and that's always been the preferred thing with me. Kane's strength was that he gave the character a lot of good movement tics and created an actual character with that. The combination of that and the terrific mask/costume of Pt. VII really is what I think made people fall in love with Kane. No disrespect to Mr. Hodder, but my hope is that this new performer will pick up on the things Kane did and make the character his own with MOVEMENT. That's how to do it. As for the costume, I don't mind the clean-looking shirt with the dingy mask. After all, look at Part II-III - he clearly lived ina shack and had different clothes. I think it's only the 'Zombie in the Water' who was supposed to never dress in anything but the same filthy rags. I'm good with this, man! Thanks for emailing me the link!
I don't know man. The coat looks almost like it's got fur cuffs and a fur collar. Not to mention that he looks like he's got little stick legs. Add to that, the plain looking shirt....I'm just not feelin' it.
Well. There seems to be more positive responses to this than I thought there would be. I'm not sure how I feel about it just yet. I DO know that everyone is getting their underwear in a twist about it. So? What's new? People have been arguing about what Jason Voorhees 'should' look like for what? 28 years now? Give it a rest, already. Just accept the fact that with each film, there is going to be a different look. Not too difficult is it? Simple equation. 12 films + 12 different directors/writers = 12 different Jasons!
You know what. I DO know where I stand now. Haha I changed my mind in that little diatribe there. I think it's gonna be awesome. And I trust Nispel, simply because the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake was nothing short of Fricken Awesome! So, yeah. Suck it! oops, sorry!
so after looking at this pic a little more closely, Jason is holding a knife while the machette is hanging off the side of his pants, this is pretty weak, looks like there making Jason a regular human who does silly distracting things like that.
HAS ANYONE NOTICED THAT JASON WASN'T IN THE ORIGINAL FRIDAY THE 13TH??? The killer in part one was his mother. Even for the fakers who never saw the original, they tell you that in Scream. And Jason didn't wear the hockey mask until pt3, so whoever is calling this a remake of the original is just trying to sell movie tickets with a familiar face to audiences who don't know any better. Oh, wait... it's a remake after all. How about some original ideas for a change?
The far away pic looked like it was just pasted on. The high res closeup looks a lot better. I too like the more human looking Jason. I also like the fact that the mask doesnt look like it fits right, as you can see a bump of Jason's head, which fits the fact that Jason is a Mongaloid to begin with, and some mongaloids have an irregular shaped head.
There ya go now I can see him..lol! I do like this Jason alot better than the original because at least this one looks human. Look wimpy but still at least he looks alot more human.
Not saying that I'm not completely excited for this movie... Because I am. But I'm just confused as to how this is remake of the first Friday The 13th if Jason's the main man on the movie. As we all know, Mrs. Voorhees is the killer in the first and Jason doesn't come around 'til the second one nor does he even have the trademark mask until part three. I'm sure tons of people have asked this same question, but I haven't found an answer and I'm pretty curious about the whole thing.
What's the deal?
This Jason does not look too good, IMO. Pretty disappointed, honestly. I guess when Shannon & Swift write the Nightmare remake, they'll put a jacket on Freddy too. Oh well...
xYODAx This is a reimagining of the first FOUR films which will encompass pamela's death, Jason's origins and Jason wearing the sack AND the mask. Think of it as four films in one. BTW "tons" of people havent asked this question because, quite frankly, it's a pretty stupid question.
I agree CampBlood1980 everything else is good except for the jacket.
I like the fact that he's more human...i like the new look except for that Damn jacket...but i gotta agree with some of you guys about what michael bay said in that interview about that this movie will have some funny moments....edit out all those funny moments and keep it scary & brutal...needs to be like friday the 13th pt.2
why is he wearing a jackit??????????
that looks retarded man.
they should stick to how he looks in
part 3 with the collar shirt and the khaki pants. Not what i expected.
What's great about this pic is that we already know Jason is an outcast. Having been belittled and excluded for his deformities he has chosen to live out his life in solitude in the woods; away from the rest of the "shallow" world. So we can basically conclude that for Jason, a man who wears a mask to hide, not his identity, but his disfigured face and who lives deep in the woods in an effort to hide from the civilized world, to be standing in plain view of another person in broad daylight means only one thing; he plans to kill that person (that or make friends. Yeah, right). This photo reminds me of Part III where that last girl had the nightmare of Jason still being alive after her ordeal and he busted out of the house, ripping the door off its hinges. His face fully exposed. The fresh blood from the axe strike trickling down. Determined to kill her (with his bare hands at that point). And it was in broad daylight. There was something really scary about that setting. And she was in a canoe on the water. I think it's a terrific shot as it conjures up the same foreboding feelings. And that water seemed quite dirty as well from what I remember. Great shot you guys!
I was REALLY hoping for the classic (and far superior IMHO) Jason from Part 2. I wanted to see the potato sack, overalls, flannel, and pitchfork. They could have at least put some thought this time into what he's wearing. Instead it looks like they took the easy way out and gave us yet another poorly executed "Kane Hodder Jason". It could be a lot worse, but it could be a lot better.
I don't like this look at all. He is way too big and strongly resembles the giant from Freddy vs Jason. I envisioned a Richard Brooker thin feel to the character, not Brock Lesnar with a plastic Rite Aid mask.
Pleatherface out........
HELLO!!! is anyone even listening to people like "mbourke" and "Ikilledzombieflanders!" this cannot be a remake of the original film becuase Jason was not the killer AND Jason got the hockey mask in the part 3 from the kid with the jewfro!!! I am saddened by the these constant remakes and re-tellings of stories... Hollywood is DEAD to me. They can't come up with ANY new or original ideas these days.
The more I think of this, the more disappointed I keep getting. He just looks like a big guy with some crappy hair strands and a hockey mask (crooked I might add) with some artificially torn clothes that got picked up as an after thought. This is Jason for Christ Sake!! Personally I would have kept the Pt. 2 look along with a creepy hoodie as a nice touch to cover up the burlap sack and eventually the iconic mask, but instead we get this. My heart just keeps sinking.
i still dont know why everyone is bagging on his look...i mean the friggin' guy wore overalls and a flannel shirt in his first movie....so no matter what he wears, Jason is always going to look great!
im with you themanbehindthemask, i cannot believe people are gripping about how he looks or even arguing why there is even a remake to begin with, to tell the truth if any movie deserved a remake it would be friday the 13th, i mean all do respect to the movies cause god knows i love em and i will watch them continuously even after this remake hits, but its not like there recycling the story and having the movie replay with a new interpetation there adding a differnt kind of story, a new retelling of the legend, and besides there gonna show flashbacks of the mother to what great detail that will show, i would love to know, but i know im gonna love this movie that and i like anything that has to deal with jason, what i dont get is why does mtv wanna cash in on this deal can anyone answer that question!?
Wow I'm impressed at the fact it only took 151 comments for some retard to mention Kane Hodder. Anyways looks good to me, definitely looking forward to this one.
Thanks for the answer, and I wouldn't say that it was a stupid question. I just didn't know all that. But now that I do, I'm ten times more pumped about the film. Sounds like it's gonna be sick. Plus, I think Jason looks really good. The jacket doesn't bother me much... Maybe he just gets cold going in and out of the lake so much. Sike.
For the love of God!!! Would you people be happy if he wore a green and red sweater with a fedora? Maybe he should carry a chain saw, and god forbid some one fights back with a nail gun and fills his head with nails....Oh wait a minute, that sounds pretty cool.
I've been looking closely at this "pic" it doesn't look like a picture it looks like a painting or something. Take a look at his left hand. It doesn't look like a real hand.
All I can wonder is two things. Will it compare to the original 3 movies, and will it be like many movies that are coming out now doing the "beginning" thing. None the less. I think that this is a movie that should have been remade earlier.
Im not a fan of the hoody jacket. My personal opinion is that this is a real teaser, this may be in a scene of the movie where someone plays a joke on the girl in the water. That would be suck a cock tease.
But then again i hope this is just an idea on what he is to look like.
hmm, I have to say he does kinda have that slow kid retard look going on. I have to give it to them becaues I was expecting worse. This isnt bad at all, its a start. I mean now add the story and some context as to why he looks the way he does, hopefully they explain the clothing/mask and were all good. My hopes have just been raised, cant be any worse that whats being released in theaters now. Good to see Jason back and not floating in space or something.
grew up on the origional...Jason vs Freddy was horrible...party of 5 with robot hookers would have made better veiwing...
Nothing will compare to the old stuff..so comparing is useless.
However I would like to be proved wrong!
This movie will be marketed at a new audience..not the fans... it will be loosly linked to the old myths and storylines of the 80,s ,but will rely on watering down everything in order to make a 2 hour movie. You cant put all the legend of Jason into it and tell a story too...
I hope it is dark and edgy..but it will need a 18+ raring to acheive that...and that is not going to happen...regardless of what we keep hearing!
I hope it's great...but I am preparing for the worst and hoping for the best!
I saw the original Friday the 13th back in 1981 when I was 12 and I've been hooked ever since. I hope the new film recreates the tone and atmosphere of the original 4, and let's not forget one overlooked detail ... Jason actually RAN after people.
As for the first photo ... A nicely composed shot that was intended as a tease, and despite the obvious reaction, shouldn't have been blown up for a better look at the man himself. I expected something familiar, yet radical, so I think a "wait and see" approach works best. I think the marketing department took a small step backwards by "revealing" Jason is a DAYLIGHT shot, but...
"! The pic directed by Marcus Nispel is the retelling of the original Friday the 13th about teenaged summer camp counselors that are systematically slaughtered by a mysterious killer"
wait... it was his Mom who killled in the "original"
... now i'm confused.
stilll, i have ALWAYS loved Jason and am loooking forward to cheeering him on in the theater. :)
just hope this is the last we see of jason they have ruined a very good series of movies in the first 4, this one looks good but i dont see how its a remake coz mrs vorhees is the original killer hope she gets a mention but i'll give it a chance nice pic im still gona watch this one
Great looks like he stopped by American Eagle to pick up some cloths. Or maybe it was Banana Republic. His outfit is horrible. Ive seen old women with purple hair scarier than this.
Right you may call me a tool and it prob been writen/well know. BUT HIS MOTHER WAS THE KILLER IN THE GOT THE MASK UNTILL 3. but apart from that it should be the dogs nuts
I love the photography - very retro looking - like one of the early movies with an upgrade. The Freddy vs. Jason photography was too straight-to-video looking and the visual effects weren't very good (the gore scenes would probably look better practical).
I just realized, this will be the first movie to be called Friday The 13th in about, what 15 years. Because it was Friday The 13th Part 8: Jason Takes Manhatten (more like a horrible set and a load of Vancouver), and then it went to Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday (thus technically killing Jason off twice with Part 4 Final Chapter and Jason Goes To Hell), then Jason X (the Alien of slasher films, if you count Leprechaun 4) and finally the latest to be included, Freddy VS Jason, which I must admit was worth seeing. So we've gone for 15 years and 3 movies and are now just starting to use Friday The 13th once again. My main question is will anyone actually be scared by this? I know I'm going to be groaning at the horrible script writting and the ironic deaths, but it will be a good type of laughing.
I just got finished eating a pot pie that resembles Mr.Voorhees face.Num Num.My belly is full and my face is smiling.Friday the 13th FOREVER.
I hate camp counselors.I hope it takes place at a fat camp. ;P
Thug
The pic directed by Marcus Nispel is the retelling of the original Friday the 13th about teenaged summer camp counselors that are systematically slaughtered by a mysterious killer. Jason Voorhees will wear the mask and kill, keeping the famous setting of Crystal Lake.
JASON WASNT THE KILLER IN THE ORIGINAL ONE
BUT THIS MOVIES GONNA KICK SOME ASS
I am so excited it looks really good from that one pic. the surrounding are, the lake, it all looks very well done..even the color of the water is creepy. I cant wait for this to come out !!!
this is so gay. i cant believe so many of you people think this will be good. they will probably use some lame music by some terrible band like static x or slipknot and over saturate the film. no wonder these dumb ass directors keep making terrible remakes, people that have no idea about good horror keep watching them....(that means %90 of the people that posted)....and why am i only on of a few that realize that a.) he wasnt the killer in the first film b.) he didnt get the hockey mask till the 3rd film and c.) the guy directing this already ruined a remake in 2004.
A revamp of Friday the 13th is acceptable if sequels are produced. I want an entire new line of Jason. An articulate viewpoint on a classic horror franchise is just what the genre needs at this time. Perhaps Jason will re-invest the interest in horror and new and creative film-makers will get a shot at providing us with a visionary direction.
I hope it's just the pic, but that mask doesn't mesh well with the body on which it is presented.
Directed towards itsonlyamovie:
Since when do remakes have to be line for line from the original script? I don't want to see a rehash of the first movie. It's perfect. I want to see a new take on Jason. Same premise w/ new ideas.
I disagree with the comment about already ruining a remake. That movie definitely had it's merits.
That's just like your opinion, dude.
There is a poster for this movie too and it shows his mask in a black background. It was creepy. Yeah and Danielle Pannebaker is in this movie. God these Disney channel stars are growing up! Love the pic.
Why is this fool wearing a ridiculous jacket? Is he getting chills from watching punks swim naked in the hot summertime? I've also seen that retarded hood, come on. The strangers...now that was a wicked hood.
im so pumped for this movie. after i saw the trailer i was sold. He looks great and in the interview he mentions the hood so im excited to see the new look on that
he looks crappy in my opinion silly jacket the mask has looked better in the past and his neck is 10 times the size of his girlish looking legs and to righthandofdoom81 the originals are legends and that means the legend shouldnt change taking the mom out of the equation as the killer was stupid maybe if they mix part one two and three up into one movie it will be ok but come on to change the whole story is crap
heyyyy, jared padalecki's in it!!!
i wasn't gonna see it cuz i never liked this franchise, but now i will. jared padalecki's a pretty decent actor-- i love that show he's on.
That screeny is pretty awesome. I'm just worried this will turn out as yet another horrid remake... oh well, even if it sucks it will still be fun to watch.
I'm still undecided on this look... I guess it's the most realistic look of Jason yet... I hope at some point in the movie he loses the jacket. The trailer looks fucking awesome though so i guess it dont matter too much what he looks like.
I think this is his best look yet. The neck especially looks muscular and out of whack. Even his stance is enough to creep me out. Just might be a good flick.
Call me crazy but wasn't Jason's mother the killer in the original Friday the 13th? The hockey mast didn't even come about until the 3rd installment. I really hope this "remake" doesn't try to force the entire story of the first three flicks into one movie the way Rob Zombie tried to with Halloween. Oh well, still looking forward to it!
