I was originally mad about the remake because the original was so good, but after seeing the new trailer and the slight differences, I'm actually quite interested in it. The effects look better and it seems a bit more graphic than the original, so I'm hoping it will be good.

I'm pretty excited for it, I especially liked the bit about PG-13 films being watered down..I totally agree with that, and I can't wait to see the new gore they added in. Great set visit ^^

man, this is a movie that ABSOLUTELLY doesn't need a remake. It was released LAST YEAR. and it ROCKS. the trailer, for once, was terrible. they already gave away the ending. and the beginning was also awful, i mean: what the hell was that about "nobody was found, except this camera". i think it will suck really bad. besides, the movie isn't good because of the gore or stuff like that, and they will probably fill the movie with lots and lots and a little bit more of blood. there's a scene in the trailer where the camera closes in the zombie while he's the attacking the camera man. what the hell was that? the movie was PERFECT because of the suspense and, also, the fact that you didn't see everything. that was part of the fun.

It still looks like poop to me.

If more people could handle subtitles we wouldn't need all these remakes of foreign films. Or just dub them.

no offense BD (i love you guys!) but why do many posts here (and on other sites) often say "EXCLUSIVE" when EVERY other site (almost) has the same Quarantine set visit? just askin'. :) this movie is just a shot for shot remake of an already great movie, but i'll probably go anyways (if not only to support our R rated genre).

It's hilarious the ending is on the poster.

I really wish people would stop crying about the ending being shown on the trailer or poster. This movie is obviously for people who haven't heard of or seen REC yet and don't know what the ending is. So every time you fucking blab about the ending being shown, you're basically being a spoiler. Also, I admit that at first I wanted to hate this remake because I also thought it was pointless, but after reading why they're remaking it, I'm actually looking forward to seeing if this movie will be decent or not. And one more thing... more blood/gore is NOT a bad thing if they keep the suspense of the original intact. More blood and gore simply adds to it, not takes away.

If I went to see this movie and the last thing I saw was the same image they've been using for every bit of promotion for this movie, I'd be pissed and let down.

I can agree with that, but it's not like the ending is some amazing, dramatic scene. For someone who saw the trailer, but not REC, the scene would look just like any other scene in the movie. Not necessarily the ending.

you know their is a reason why we remake foreign films and its not just because of the subtitles. most foreign actors suck and if any of them were any good a hollywood agent would have grabbed them by now

I must admit, what really gets on my nerves at the moment is that everyone is remaking the amazing original horror films like Hellraiser, Friday the 13th, Halloween, and especially REC... Why change perfection? There was nothing wrong with these things to begin with. I would just like to see something original and for directors to stop re-making good films and create better, more original films. Anyone agree?

johnnyjohn, most foreign actors suck? God you haven't watched many foreign movies have you. That was seriously the most stupid comment I've ever read in my life.

Hah! Johnnyjohn, most foreign actors are in fact much, much better than American ones. And foreign horror films are also much, much better than many American horror flicks are who are just made to make an extra buck.

Iīm spanish and i saw REC in theater at the time of its release. Itīs f++kin amazing experience! I donīt know who thinks USA audiences need a remake with good looking chics and guys. Donīt be mad but lately american producers only create crap for teenagers. More blood? RECīs horror isnīt in the blood, anybody noticed it?

I think that Hollywood is underestimating the intelligence of American horror fandom by remaking foreign horror movies. Believe it or not Hollywood there are quite a few mature horror fans who can handle reading subtitles. Also, please stop trying to target an only male teenage crowd. I would certainly appeciate it.

When i saw the teaser i thought...piece of shit, but then i saw the actual trailer and then i got really excited so i'm expected it to be very thrilling and disturbing.

The original was one of the best horror films I had seen for a very long time, I thought I would not " get on " with the hand held camara view but it was perfect for " rec " had me on the edge of my seat for most of the film, even stopped reading the subtitles halfway through cause I just couldnt take my eyes off the relentless action that was unfolding in front of me.The spanish actors were all spot on in their roles, actually had me beliving the were just normal people reacting to a unusal situation. I really hope the remake does the original justice, I have seen remakes of "the ring" and "the grudge" and they just took so much off the original horror of the originals, not gonna mention the awful remake of one missed call. ( whoops I just did ) I will view the remake hoping for the best but it really have to go some to match the atmosphere from the original, just chucking in extra gore is just not going to cut it!! I hope Quarintine gets a cinema release in good old blighty and not go straight to dvd. will look forward to reading your reviews on it as it will probably ages before it gets released over here, at least you only have to wait a couple more weeks to see it!
