I don't know. Last time Craven wrote AND directed a horror movie, it was New Nightmare, which I loved! IMO, it was Craven's last great horror movie before he sold out with the likes of Scream(good, but not great, IMO). Since New Nightmare, he's either written or directed horror, but never did both on the same film. So I'm anxious to see if Craven can recapture what he did back in the day when he used to give us movies like NOES. This has a big NOES feel, even backed with the fact that most of the actors and actresses will be no-names(just like NOES) that are ACTUALLY teenagers(not like the freakin 30-somethings in Scream, which looked NOTHING like teenagers). And suposably, this movie's going to be rated-R. I can't wait. With all the crappy remakes out there, it's good to see some stand-alone ideas coming through the mist. I mean, the premise might echo NOES, but there are a lot of accepted horror movies that echo other horror movies. I mean, We wouldn't have Ft13 without Halloween and TCM, and all three are pretty much accepted well for being their own franchises. The concepts of slashers are almost ALWAYS the same, but there are different particulars featured in each slasher that makes them unique. And on a last note, it seems the changed the name of the town. Originally it was Riverdale, but they changed it to Riverton.
