I cant stand the obsession with this. It pisses me off. Honestly, from what I've heard (about the books) and seen, this looks like it will be a terrible movie with another terrible plot that we don't need released.

It's obviously catering to the little girls that love stuff from the CW/WB, and crap like Laguna Beach and The Hills. I saw a cast photo with everybody looking all douchebaggy. All I can say is the cast is OFF-WHITE. Everybody is pretty young and rich-looking. Looks like, basically, the OC with bloodsuckers. I don't mean to sound like a jerk when I say this, but this movie caters to girls who want something to believe in. They type of girls who listen to the Jonas Brothers and still think they are princesses. Do we REALLY want these types of chicks getting into horror? They already begun to put a pinky into the genre, which is why we have all the crap like the remake of Prom Night. It's like, "Hey, Brianne and Manda, go back to Beverley Hills and leave our HORROR alone!!!".

yeah, according to what i've heard from people who've read the book it's supposed to be a GREAT book, if you like the teen romance vampire genre. it's not really a horror book (from what they've said), more a teen drama (a la BH90210! i kid you not!). i'm more into the feral, monstrous (& awesome!) vampires in 30 Days of Night. not the billowy shirted, "seductive", model-type vampires. no offense to Twilight fans.

I have to stand up and say different strokes for different folks. We all deserve to see movies we like and that means movies are going to get made for other people and not you or me. But COME ON! This shit is Days Of Our Lives for 10th graders. In Frankenstein, we saw a character study of a monster. A monster that really wasn't so different from us. This is not the study of a monster. Do some reading up on the story this is based on. This is a rip off of West Side Story. All she did was change the rival street gangs to rival vampire factions. It's unimagined drivel made for a generation that will watch "anything" if you tell them their classmates are watching it.

I never thought of it before, but now that it's been mentioned, he does look like a (considerably less crazed) Amy Winehouse. Also, the clip is terrible. This movie seemed to have potential at the beginning, and I've heard the book is a real masterpiece. But I just can't get into this.

OMFG!!! I'M SOOOO EXCITED!!! *squee squee...yada yada* ...Yeah, not all of us are 12 year old shreiking fangirls (lol). I don't know how the movies going to come out, but I'm still looking forward to it. They say that there will be a few changes (to please a wider range of people, like in the action department), but overall, it will be closely tied to the book. Heh, before Summit got a hold of it, the script was garbage (didn't even resemble Twilight); it REALLY would've been some OC/90210 crap. At least you guys will have some decapitation/ripping/shredding to look forward to in this (twilight isn't all sunshine and glitter). A lot of the fans of the book aren't stupid or delusional, and will be pissed if it does suck (but I really hope not). Trailers and stuff weren't great, but still holding out for the movie.

LET ME IN was probably a better book and it will definitely be a better movie than this teen-catered piece of shit.

I still say it would be better if the chick was a vampire and he was a werewolf. I would go that movie for sure.

I really can't blame any of you who commented on this topic about what the book looks/sounds like, because I was saying the same thing until a friend lent me the book and begged me to read it.. and I really enjoyed all three books, and can't wait for the fourth one to come out this August. And AGAIN, THANK YOU FOR INFORMING US ABOUT THIS MOVIE BECAUSE THERE ARE SOME OF US WHO ARE INTERESTED IN IT.

I've read much better young adult novels than this nonsensical bullshit. Movie looks like crap, and I may gouge my eyes out because I have to work the "Midnight Release" for the 4th book at my bookstore.....God my life sucks some days.

I love this book and I cant wait for the movie to come out i will campout and wait
