It has been two days and I'm still laughing - and I'm still getting e-mails. A hardcore Tara Reid fan has started a petition for her to gain a role in Platinum Dunes' remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street, a petition I find not only amusing but ridiculous. So I decided to take it upon myself and start my own petition, one that would keep the blonde party animal from stepping foot anywhere near my beloved Freddy Krueger! I'll sign the petition for her TO BE in the film if we can get Uwe Boll to direct it! Come on...you know you WANT TO SEE THAT! I mean Robert England's not coming back so this film is fucked already...why not make it a comedy.

I'm with Chad. I could care less who is in it as long as it wasn't made. I am sick of Hollywood choosing to remake and trash classics rather than accepting a new script with a new idea just because *GASP* they'd be taking a chance. I think there's a ton of irony in this remake trend because when the originals came out I am betting these same studios had similar reservations about taking the chance then too.

What's going on here is there is a "remake" of "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and you mean to tell me that the only deciding factor of the film's quality is the presence or absence of Tara Reid? Are you shitting me? Is this really the most we're demanding from the industry? And who wants to search every bus station and dumpster in America to find her anyway?
I love NIghtmare on Elm Street flicks. I grew up watching them, I am still not sure about the whole remake thing, but for the love Freddy, son of a thousand maniacs, keep Reid out of this.

What Tara Reid needs to jumpstart her career is a sex tape. "BAM", she'll get instant attention she craves. I might even check it out, she might even enjoy herself unlike Paris who could have been drilled by a football team and wouldn't have noticed.
Tara shouldn't be in ANY way connected to NOES franchise. It's bad enough we have Monica Keena and Kelly Rowland connected. FvJ was enough of that crap. The thing is, NOES has always been MORE about psychological kills and fear than pointless sex and gore. Even at it's more campiest, NOES has been smarter than most slasher movies in general(FvJ not included, as it brought all the sleaze Ft13 is known for). No need in putting NOES down a notch. It's where it is and a remake SHOULD, at least, meet it at that point, though it should add in more scientific background regarding REM sleep and various sleeping disorders.

i dont want the remake to begin with. i dont think like an opening kill or even a small cameo would hurt, but i definitely don't want to see her with a major role!
