We were the first to tell you about Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer (review), which was acquired by Anchor Bay Entertainment after its debut at the Slamdance Film Festival in January. We learned this afternoon that the film will open August 1st in Chicago then hits LA and NYC on the 8th before arriving on DVD October 7! Read on for a look at the new poster and trailer. Jack Brooks is an angry, young plumber who has repressed the memory of witnessing his family’s brutal murder. Only when he unknowingly awakens an ancient evil, is Jack forced to confront his past, deal with the monstrous reality of the present and discover the true purpose of his inner rage.
wow! that trailer was fun. this movie looks good. but why is the poster so gay? I mean, literally, homoerotic. With the beard and abs and nice jeans and everything. does he show off his hot bod in the movie any?
Robert Englund takes on another good role. I'm going to see it just because anything that's with him in it has got to be worth it. It looks like good fun seeing all the different kind of monsters too.
