Today we stumbled across one of the most interesting new indie horror films currently in production - and while we were prepping a piece on it, Twitch Film scored news that Xavier Gens (Frontiers, Hitman) is one of the producers! The film is called The Horde and was directed by Yannick Dahan and Benjamin Rocher. Inside you'll find the poster and long synopsis for the flick, which follows an end of the world battle between gangsters, cops and zombies.
North of Paris. In order to avenge the murder of one of their own by a group of ruthless gangsters, corrupt cops four go on a rampage in a condemned building serving as the mobster's hideout. Now trapped, the officers are about to be executed when the unimaginable occurs: hordes of bloodthirsty, cannibalistic creatures invade the building, savagely attacking everyone. Unexpected alliances are made when their lives are threatened by the unthinkable.

Not to disrespect anybody but zombies are being way over used, now if say a bunch of mutant bi-pedal alligators crashed the party that would be original(heck even aliens or were wolves.). All this ridding on romeroes work by telling other stories is getting old. Hows grab you the worlds largest gang bang is well under way when the unthinkable happens, zombies crash the party! sounds lame doesn't it...
IMO frontier(s) was an average movie. It seemed like plot ideas cut and pasted together from movies I have already seen a million times. The Horde sounds like it could either be VERY corny, or chaotic and cool. Depends on the origin of the zombies, I guess we'll see
I am French and I went to make the zombie last week for this film... I can say to you that it is of the never seen in France! Support Yannick Dahan and Benjamin Rocher who are really excellent guys and which are especially geeks as you and I before being directors...
