David Duchovny Talks More 'X-Files' Sequels (Again)

20th Century Fox has finally fully launched the official website for the highly anticipated release of The X-Files: I Want to Believe. While browsing through the site I came across some blogs, one of which was pretty interesting. Inside you can read what star David Duchovny (Fox Mulder) has so say about sequel potentials.

"some quick answers---i post all in lower case because i am lazy and a bad typist," Duchovny jokes on his blog. "my basketball skills have eroded even as my understanding of the game has increased. i think if this movie does well, that will make it possible to do more x files films and those in turn would definitely swing back into the whole mythology area. it's just that this first time out after a long break, we didn't want to alienate, no pun intended, any folks who might feel they had to study up in order to understand what's going on in the movie. i think you get the wisdom of that. more later. d"

Check out the official website for more!

X-FILES arrives in theaters July 25th.

So long as there well done and bogged down with too much mythos they could do quite well.

he shouldnt have abandoned the show that made his name famous, since his film career didnt really take off, or directing didnt either, i figured he'd come crawling back to original origins!

Invasion went off the air because they had a great idea but couldn't lead it anywhere, a shame because the premises was pretty cool.

I think he means the promised invasion in the xfiles, not invasion the series..

It's a shame there's another 2012 project going on, really, because I think that could reduce the chances of an XF 2012 film, which would've been the freakin' ultimate. Or it might publicize the phenomenon a bit more, I guess...
