Happy 4th of July! This morning Lionsgate has launched the official website for the highly anticipated return of Jigsaw in Saw V, which arrives in theaters October 24. As of right now there's nothing really there, but you might as well bookmark it and watch for updates, or we'll just keep you posted as usual! In the fifth installment of the popular SAW franchise directed by David Hackl, Hoffman is seemingly the last person alive to carry on the Jigsaw legacy. But when his secret is threatened, Hoffman must go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends.
I hated Saw IV, but this could still be good. Well, maybe. What they need to do is slow down on the whole process and find a script that's really great... which, in my opinion, is what Saw IV lacked.
About the {overall} theme; " Hoffman is seemingly the last person alive to carry on the Jigsaw legacy. But when his secret is threatened, Hoffman must go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends. "
This sounds interesting / promising .. However, there's something I do not quite get.. .
I fully understand the first sentence; 'Hoffman is seemingly the last person alive to carry on the Jigsaw legacy.' I mean, that's for EVERYONE to understand . .. But here it comes; 'When his secret is threatened, Hoffman must go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends.'
'SECRET'? What secret? The 'secret' may be referring to the letter, he wrote, that made Amanda break out in tears and made her react very hysterical .. Forgive me, I'm just TOL in here .. {thinking out loud..}
'Eliminate all loose ends'? I CAN think of something{s), but it still remains very vague, to me .. ?
I loved all the 'Saw' films even the 4th. I even have them in my DVD collection. I am seeing Saw V wether it's good or not. But the site is totally blank. All it has is a close up on the teaser poster. Couldn't they have at least did to what they did with the rest of the Saw films put a countdown and background music.
October 24th can not come fast enough... cant freakin wait to see it. I love the first 3, like part 4...hopefully 5 will be more up to par with the first 3.
funny that most think the fourth one sucks.. i thought the 2nd was the worst, the end was good tho.. i think hoffman is more believable than amanda
saw 1 (9/10)
saw 4 (7/10)
saw 3 (5/10)
saw 2 (4/10) IMO
now lets hope they really make it good this time..
i'll see saw 5 because 2 and 3 were very good, and 1 and 4 were alright, but yawn....are there going to be as many saw films as Friday the 13th movies?
If you live if California make sure you check out the "Official SAW live action, Haunted Attraction" Opening Sept. 25th. It will feature some of the traps from the new movie!! More info at www.liveSAW.com
i wonder if they will do alot of flashbacks in this one . dont get me wrong i am a fan of the saw moives . but wont alot flashbacks get old really fast . i cant wait for this to come out .
Since there's nothing new happening, I thought of a few 'possible Saw V-tagline's', it's up to you, whether you want to play along, or if you don't want to play along... I'm NOT going to ask / and or beg people to post their tagline's... So, anywayzz ... Here's a 'small list', of MINE .. Check it out and judge them ... DON'T be TOO harsh on me, though .. Nahh, just fucking 'round .. LOL .. Here WE go ..
Whenever they decide "All right, this will be the last Saw", there's only one tagline they can use: "Game Over.."
Saw V – "Till Nothing's Left.."
"On October 24, fear will be taken to a whole new level.."
"To live is to suffer, let me end your suffering.."
"Everyone Dies, you however seize living.."
"WATCH or DIE, make your choice.."
Saw V – "No, Gordon's NOT in this one either.. IS he??.."
Saw V – Gordon is (NOT) the one behind the mask.."
Saw V – The New Apprentice.."
{BTW .. I DO have to be honest, so I DID, you know, 'borrow', some of these off IMDB .. But oh well ...
to woodland critter i agree with you i think the 2nd one was the worst i mean the whole concept that the 4th and 3rd happend at the same time was awesome but most people didnt think so and i dont know if you guys are into the saws as much as me but the plot line doesnt sound like saw because saw has traps and lessons not a man hunting down threats come on thats not saw thats everyother horror movie i dont want a killer i was a jigsaw someone who tests them
Saw 2 the worst? No, not imo.. I mean, OFCOURSE it wasn't as near as good as the 1st and / or the 3rd Saw .. But, there WERE some quite well done things here and there, for example.. These are my fave's –
1 – "...is to find an antidote. Several are hidden around this house. One is inside the safe in front of you. You all possess the combination to the safe. Think hard...The numbers are IN THE BACK of YOUR MIND. The clue to their order can be found "OVER THE RAINBOW".
Idk about you guys, but I REALLY did NOT have a clue, what JigSaw meant, when he said that part .. At the end, it was clear, he meant literally; "the back of your headss"{!!)
.. I REALLY thought, that was brilliant ..
Many / most people are forgetting or ignoring the fact that the whole "Number-Thing", was one of the main twist(s}.
Let me explain; The code to the safe was in the order of the waves of the rainbow: ROYGBIV (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet).
I really had no idea, of "the back of the heads-comment", at the beginning, but I remembered it when he {Xavier] found the numbers. .. DOHH!!
Oh well ...I gave/give it, – the movie overall –, a 7.5 ..
well regardless my main point is this movie synopsis is not like saw hunting down people is every other horror film the thing that seperates or seperated saw from the others is that it has a lesson theres not killer it has a good story and keeps you thinking and this storyline sounds nothing like a saw movie
