Today the first official image was released from Paul Weitz's Cirque du Freak (set visit preview), which features your first look at John C. Reilly in action. In the Universal PIctures adaptation, Reilly will play a vampire who drafts a 14-year old to serve as his assistant. The youth is turned into a half-vampire and becomes the catalyst in a battle between vampires and the rival Vampanese. The studio bought rights in 2005 to a series of 12 books. Read on for a look at the image.
I can't get excited by this, vampires have had there balls cut off in recent years, just not scary, 30 days got it right by making them total monsters, but for the most part the modern vampire is just a pale metro sexual.
lmfao. This is def. NOT who I'd expect to play Larten.
I honestly thought him to be, I don't know...more of a gentleman-type. But as long as Reilly gets the precise way that Mr. Crepsley talks right, I guess it would make for a good movie.
Um... I expected someone with more of a sharp face rather than round... and what's with the fro? I mean... eh... I'll just say this, I was excited when I saw that the books I read were going to be a movie but, when I saw this, I'm thinking I may've gotten my hopes up :/
After seeing this I'm so sure that they're going to make this movie out to be some kiddie fairy tale instead of the gorey coming of age journey the books were. >_< Will people please stop making movies out of novels...
