Get ready for a modern blast from the past with Dario Argento's Giallo, which promises to reflect back on classic Italian giallo films that changed the industry forever. The "Italian Hitchcock" is off shooting the film, which will tell the story of a serial murderer with a taste for attractive women, who is being chased by a solitary detective. Today you can check out the first official stills from the film, which stars Asia Argento, Ray Liotta, Elsa Pataky, Adrien Brody and Emmanuelle Seigner. Dimension Films has acquired the film for US release later this year/early next year. Read on for a look.
this sounds like it is right up Argento's alley! i'm stoked! the only thing that worries me, is Dimension/The Weinstein co. has an AWFUL track record of releasing/promoting their films. we'll see.
Wow. With the casting of Liotta and Brody, Argento will gather more interest from US distributors and produce a movie with better performances than the typical Argento film. This may be his best since Tenebre.
maybe we can get a broader theatre release in the u.s. with brody and liotta on board. I'm sick of nothing good being released near me.
