Arriving on September 9 through Fox Home Entertainment and MGM Home Entertainment is the 20th Anniversary DVD of Stan Winston's Pumpkinhead, according to Fangoria. The disc will include audio commentary by co-screenwriter Gary Gerani and creature FX creators Tom Woodruff Jr. and Alec Gillis, moderated by Scott Spiegel, seven all-new featurettes, behind-the-scenes footage and a still gallery. A man conjures up a gigantic vengeance demon called Pumpkinhead to destroy the teenagers who accidentally killed his son. Also coming from Fox and MGM on September 9 is the 20th Anniversary of CHILD'S PLAY (details here).
Yes! I've been waiting forever for a decent DVD of Pumpkinhead. Hopefully they managed to get some interviews with Stan Winston before his tragic passing.
For years I've been bitching about the full screen bare bones editions of this and Child's Play, and lo and behold, we'll finally get proper releases of both of them on the same day. Plus the Rodan/War of the Gargantuas set is finally being released. Damn, Sept. 9th is gonna kick ass.
