Amazon lists Dario Argento's third mother film, The Mother of Tears, for DVD release on September 23. No details have been revealed yet, but you can click the title for tons of bloody stills, trailers and more. The film centers on a young American art student, Sarah, who "unwittingly opens an ancient urn that unleashes the demonic power of the world's most powerful witch. As a scourge of suicides plague the city and witches from all over the world converge on Rome to pay homage, Sarah must use all her own psychic powers to stop the 'Mother of Tears' before her evil conquers the world.
Now if only Lionsgate would do a proper release of Sleepless and Blue Underground would get the rights to Four Flies on Grey Velvet and NoShame would finally release The Door into Darkness all would be right with the world. Well, as far as my Argento fix is concerned.
