This morning 20th Century Fox provided us with the official poster for Alex Aja's latest blood-soaked horror film, Mirrors, which arrives in theaters August 15. The story follows a security guard at a high-end department store who begins to investigate mysterious deaths occurring in front of the stores' mirrors. He soon discovers that there are murderous reflections out for revenge.
These asian remakes are getting mighty old! Just release the originals with subs or if you have to, dub tracks like the old days. Trying to reinterpet somebody's vision never works out.
Judging by the trailer this is going to be a VERY loose remake with just the idea of the original carried over so i'm keepin' hope alive that it'll as good as his other films
i agree, joe31183. it does indeed look like a Grudge poster (or just some random other J-horror flick). don't get me wrong, i LOVE Aja and i'll be there for Mirrors on opening day, i just wish the poster (& trailer) was more interesting/scary.
from the director of the hills have eyes? we craven? they need to put remake in the frace, i like the work of Aja the posters looks 80's but i can related whit the movie dont seems like a broken mirror is only a face and like Joe31183 and djblack1313 said looks like asian scary girl
Not very original, but that face really creeps me out!
This should be interesting, his previous features has been so in-your-face with the violence and gore, plus it's always been about regular everyday people that the viewer can relate to.
Here it's ghosts, more fantasy than reality. But yeah, it should be interesting.
While I'll gladly go see this cause I dug Hills, I think that the first "trailer" was pretty lame. It looked like a bad tv spot. I thought when it was announced on this site that it WAS a tv spot and that the reporter had just typed it wrong or something, but then I saw it in front of the happening. bad marketing. had I no previous knowledge of it, it wouldn't have made me want to see it. WOW. I ranted for a while on that. anywho, while I can understand the grudge criticism. . .I still like the poster. it's more mysterious then the trailer anyway.
Poster is awesome, it might have a hint of The Grudge as you say but the sometimes the right lighting and photography can make all the difference. Liking it a lot
The poster design is a little weak but I'm really looking forward to this one. Aja hasn't made a bad film yet, granted he only has a couple under his belt. He seems to have a good sense of what horror fans are looking for these days.
