This weekend CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST director Ruggero Deodato updated the progress of his companion piece, Cannibals, which he is slated to direct in the near future (hopefully). Icons of Fright reports,"He told the Fango audience that the script was complete and that shooting was scheduled to begin in September of this year. However, he confessed to us that the producer wanted him to change one thing from the script, and Deodato doesn't want to compromise. So, shooting won't begin until he can resolve this one discrepancy with the producer of CANNIBALS." The screenplay is by Christine Conradt, click the title for the poster.
What the hell would they want him to change? There's ONE thing that bothered them about it? Maybe they eat a kid or something. I'm super curious as to what it is, though.
Cannibal Holocaust is a timeless classic. It's also one of the most controversial movies ever made. I'm not going to say why, you will have to find an uncut version of the movie to find out for yourself. I don't know what that sick fucker Deodato has in store for us, but it couldn't be any worse than the original. But I still don't think cannibals in the city is going to work as a concept. They should stay in the jungle or someone might bust a cap in their asses.
In Chud they were mutated cannibals which was different. I'm not sure why but it is.
