Rogue Pictures Acquires Kruger's 'The Keep'

Here's some interesting news that insanely old, but I guess they want us to know the project is still alive and with a new home. Originally announced back in October of 2006 was StillKing's adaptation of the Jennifer Egan novel The Keep, which was scripted by Ehren Kruger (The Ring, The Skeleton key) with the writer attached to produce. It was announced tonight that Rogue Pictures has acquired the rights to the thriller that revolves around a mysterious prisoner who seduces a local woman with his tale of a supernatural secret that can transform her life. Kruger and Bobker also have the supernatural pic Dream House in the works at the studio through their production shingle.

Wasn't the Keep a 1982 movie based on a novel starring a Karradine?

Another start or a sputter...Screw the keep hollywood adapt Guy N. Smiths stuff the public demands giant man eating crabs tossing army tanks around like chew toys!

Ehren Kruger's scripts and movies are terrible! Especially anything and everything after The Ring. Read his terrible scripts to Skeleton Key, Blood & Chocolate and Clock Tower. Way to go big dumb studio. They're making all the wrong things. The suits obviously just saw this guy was co-writing Transformers 2 and got scared and decided to keep his old project alive. You can bet it was dead in the water before he got Transformers 2.
