Holland's absence isn't really strange. He's had a problem with the fact that he had to share writing credit since the flick was released.

This is gonna be awesome, I just know it. This really is a fun movie, and I've been holding out buying it just in case something like this happened.

Are all these so called extras really nessary??? personally i find them dull, but a lot people get pretty excited over them, i just like the movies, not to concerned who and how and the little stories of the production. deleted scences and extend or uncut can grab my attention and sometimes my wallet.

So freakin' awesome! I'll be one of the first to buy it.

I love movies, but I'm not a geek for them, if you go for all that pat on the back commentary thats cool, it's just not my cup of tea. Plus i seen the flicks so many times, owning another copy would seem pointless, though i do have a good friend who is a super dvd collecter, he has thousands of them, in every format and edition they can crank out. It's his thing and he's thrilled to have them. Cool beans nothing against him or any of you.

Awesome! It's about time they offered it in its original theatrical aspect ratio. I've only been able to see it like that on the HD pay channels.

finally, a childs play special edition!!! its too bad people forget how epic of a movie the original was because they made so many horrible sequels making the franchise a parody of itself...

I've been holding off buying this for so long because of the lack of Widescreen and features. Finally it's here. Can't wait for the Chucky commentary track.

Finally the movie is going to be available in an anamorphic widsescreen transfer! I can't wait for this and the commentaries .. hell even if there wasn't any special features what so ever I would still be just as thrilled about it because it is in WIDESCREEN. WOOHOO! Gonna get this defenitly!!

Thank god I decided I shouldn't spend the $10 to buy the current edition. (Because I didn't want fullscreen, and the zero extras.) I am deffinitly buying this, this is one of the few that scared the crap out of me when I was a kid, and now I love all of 'em.

Hopefully a Blu-ray release will be announced for the same day. I don't want to have to buy it twice.

I'm gonna be all over this if the Blu-ray comes out. If not, I'm just gonna stick with my old copy. No way will I replace any DVD I have with another edition. Everything studio is turning to the Star Wars model for business it seems.

I can't wait! I hate the first release; very rushed. First off, I love archive footage (I wonder if it will be remastered), and the interviews are always cool, too. I can't wait for the widescreen (that will look amazing!), the commentaries should be great, too! It would be nice if they really had commentaries Catherine and Alex... I wonder what they'll say about it (Alex told People Magazine doing this series gave him nightmares for a long time).
