We were informed this evening that Anchor Bay Entertainment's Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer (review) has been given its first theatrical dates premiering in Toronto July 17 at the Bloor Cinema with Robert Englund, Trevor Matthews and Director Jon Knautz in attendance. They will also be doing a hometown Premiere in Ottawa July 18 with Robert, Trevor and Jon at the AMC 24 Kanata. Consider yourself lucky if you live near either theater. The film will also play the FanTasia Film Festival on July 5 and open wider in Vancouver, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto on July 25. Read on for a look at the official theatrical poster.

I gotta tell ya. I watched the trailer and I REALLY wanna see this movie. Im a big Robert Englund fan, and I love how his character name is 'Crowley' in hte film. absolutely hilarious name-drop
