'House of the Dead Director's Cut: Funny Version' ART and Specs!

September 9th is a date you're not going to want to miss as Lionsgate Home Entertainment is set to release House of the Dead Director's Cut: Funny Version on DVD. What is this exactly? Infamous director Uwe Boll (Alone in the Dark) turns horror into humor with this comedic rendition of his Zombie cult classic. It's spring break and these typical college kids just want to have fun - killing zombies! This "side splitting" director's cut of House of the Dead features new dialogue, alternative takes, pop up commentary and animation from the original video game. Original cast includes Jurgen Prochnow (The DaVinci Code) and Clint Howard (Halloween) with a special appearance by famed breast augmentation specialist Siegfried Wienermeister. Even the most hardcore fans of the original cult classic will never discover that human flesh tastes like chicken until they watch this hysterically tasteless funny version! Can you say immediate classic?

It's not funny if they're all trying to be in on the joke. House of the Dead was so bad -- the reason it's so entertaining to begin with is because Uwe Boll ACTUALLY released that awful film in cinemas as if we were supposed to enjoy it. What the hell does "Funny Version" mean? The first version was hilarious. This one will suck because Uwe will try to purposely make it even worse and it'll come off as trying too hard and self aware.. No thanks.

So they have found a way to make a shitty movie even shittier. And I couldn't help but notice that it says Bloody Disgusting.com on the cover. Interesting........

I don't care what ANYONE says, but I thought this was BY FAR one of the top zombie films from the new horror wave. What many people don't notice is that it was a Euro (German-Spanish-American co-production) Zombie film. It was paced JUST LIKE a classic Fulci flick (and the gore!) but was hysterically bad like Oasis of The Zombies or Zombie Lake. I loved EVERY MINUTE OF IT and can't friggin' wait for this awesome new release!! I'm just happy Uwe decided to do this. -Retro Horror Remix

Thank you VintageLucianiFilms. But I've seen a lot of DVD covers on this sight and that's the only time I've seen that logo on one, but I could be wrong.

HorrorFan82 - I admire that you found endearment in this abomination of a movie. But it doesn't compare to others in the new horror wave. It's nowhere as scary or as well-made as 28 Weeks Later, the Dawn of the Dead remake, or the amazing Rec. The gore isn't even as creative as the low-budget Undead. It doesn't even work as campy because it's not as funny as Shaun of the Dead or Fido. Even the original Resident Evil movie would kick it's ass in an alley. To me, House of the Dead is the Gigli of Zombie movies. But I give you huge props for having the courage to admit that you like it on a blog.

Whatcha mean funny version? The released version was fucking hysterical anyway, and the fact people mightve paid anything for it.

This movie actually made me angry, I hated it so much. If this is for real, than I am totally appaled.
