I'm still trying to figure out whether we should be covering this or not, but either way it looks like a really cool adaptation. It was announced almost exactly a year ago that Warner Bros. Pictures would be adapting Jonah Hex, a character known for having the right side of his face disfigured and wearing a Confederate army uniform, who was a rough-and-tumble gunslinger and part-time bounty hunter whose adventures always ended in blood. No details were revealed other than it would be written and directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, then today something shocking hit the web - a picture of one of the stars in a production test photo. UPDATE: STYD reports that this photo is a load of BS... only it has now been revealed that they're wrong and this photo is 100% legit. Thomas Jane made it to try and get cast in the film by WB...

Very Cool! I like TJ. He's unabashedly applogetic for being a celebrity whos a comic geek and genre fan. Depending on which adaption of Jonah they are doing, BD should indeed cover this. If they do any of the Joe Lansdale stuff like Riders of the Worm and Two Gun Mojo, its very horror oreinted.
This could be good. Its about time DC takes some other characters and make movies out of them other then batman and superman. They are finally making this and teen titans which is about time.
Could be cool. Not sure how I think of Tom Jane as Hex, but could be good. Can't say I get the Eastwood vieb that the guy who posted it is talking about, but I'm down with this. And I'd LOVE to see them do one of Lansdale's books, that would be SICK.
I could get behind this, Hex can easily work in the horror/thriller areana with little effort. The character has thrown down with supernatural and paranormal stuff, even time traveled to a bleak future in the 80's Hex series. Hex said himself in a JLU episode "I've had an interesting life!"
Hm, not too sure about Thomas Jane, too 'clean' looking for me. Hex is a wonderful character tho, with definite supernatural and horror overtones. The Lansdale comics rock!
