Yesterday a story broke here about a new film from the director of INCREDIBLE HULK entitled Strays. Little details were revealed, but the boys over at AICN seem to have the scoop on what it's really about. "The Russians have been having problems in and around Moscow with hyper-intelligent feral dogs that the police believe are responsible for missing homeless people. These dogs are intelligent enough to catch rides on trolleys and subway trains to go to specific destinations. More would be known about them, but they are aware that they are being studied and they go out of their way to conceal their activities." I'm still in shock and can't decide if this is the dumbest, or coolest thing ever. What do you think?
Since it's actually an original idea (though it could easily have shades of Wolfen), and not some remake...I say we give it a shot and support it. Who knows?
I'm willing to give it try, though the super smart evil dogs thing was done awhile back with that The Breed crapfest. Though it could be fun so long as they don't over do the dog mythos with things they can't fully explain or resolve.
How about a movie where ferrets ride trolly's, book airline tickets, hail taxi's, paint fences and compete in the Winter Olympics team bobsledding event?
Could be *really* creepy is it's handled right! I can see this being something that's really dark, subtle, understated. Give us really unsettling visuals -- don't go all concept on us -- canine facial images which belie some kind of bloodhtirsty, malevolent intent. If they could totally exploit some subconscious fear regarding man's best friend surreptitiously turning against him -- by eating him, no less -- I think they'd have a very effective film. Just do not go off on any *action* tangent. Make it a truly unsettling slow-bunr, and I think they'd have something quite interesting.
Cool, I find this really believable cause every time I go for walks I see stray dogs in the street then I have to go the other way. Man I have been chased by so many crazy ass dogs.
I just hope Shai Leboufe isn't going to be in this. That little faggot is a cancer that is ruining film after film after fucking film. I'm just waiting for the assfucks in hollywood to announce that he'll be Cobra Commander in the GI Joe movie before I plan to assassinate him and everything involving him. Way to ruin my childhood. First Transformer, then Indiana Jones.... but aside from that off-topic rant, I'd love to see this friggin dog movie. Sounds neato!
are you kidding... all dogs go to heaven meets deep blue sea could this be any better
