Today we were provided with the DVD cover art for the August 26 Lionsgate Home Entertainment DVD release of SKINNED ALIVE. In the heart of New York City, men are dying in very violent ways. They are being torn up, ripped apart and then eaten. The only connection between the victims is that they all die after hiring a prostitute. Jeffrey is a sad and lonely man searching for love in the city. Socially awkward and fearing rejection, he finds companionship with prostitutes. In a bizarre twist of fate, he and his latest hire fall madly in love. The only problem is that his new girlfriend is feeding on the men of New York City, and there is a lunatic hunting her down. Caught in the middle, Jeffrey, who only wanted to love and be loved, must now decide how much he is willing to accept in the name of true love.
I really dig the cover. Sometimes light color schemes can be a good thing for advertising a horror movie, and I think it works well here. Not too sure about the font, but the image itself is creepy as hell.
