First Look Studios has announced today the DVD release of An American Crime (review), which stars Catherine Keener, Ellen Page, and James Franco. DVD Acitve reports that this drama that has been collecting dust on the shelves for years now will be available to own on August 19, and should retail at around $24.98. The film itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. The only extra material will be preview trailers. Based on a true story that gripped the nation in 1965, An American Crime recounts one of the most shocking crimes ever committed against a single victim.
