Today an international trailer was discovered for 20th Century Fox's Mirrors, which features nearly 25-seconds of new (and creepy) footage from Alex Aja's latest project. Don't forget to check out the bloody stills we were provided with by clicking here. The story follows a security guard at a high-end department store who begins to investigate mysterious deaths occurring in front of the stores' mirrors. He soon discovers that there are murderous reflections out for revenge.
even though i'm not at all thrilled w/ the trailer, i'm excited to see the movie. Aja is one of my favorites. i don't think he'll disappoint. he's one of the few who's actually making adult (not shitty PG-13'ers) horror movies for people who love adult horror movies.
Not the same movie as the original. I see only a hint of the bare conceptual idea. I'm really not perceiving this to be the sort of cheap j-horror knock-off that I'm used to here. It's not going to have a series of events I'm already familiar with from the original. I think we might actually have something here. Still, I find myself a little worried that they might ham it up a bit with the whole creepy kid thing.
Now that's a pretty good 'supernatural' plot, IMO. The only thing that bugged be about the trailer was the Buzz sound that was in the Prom Night trailer.
this is definitely a better trailer... had it not been for AJa being apart of it, I most likely wouldn't be interested... But I know he makes awesome shit, so Ill see it.
Snuffy, i definitely agree w/you. if Aja wasn't directing this, i'd have no interest seeing this (judging from the trailer). hopefully the movie will be as awesome as Aja's other films (which i LOVE!).
One thing I don't understand. If it's a major plot point that the deaths are occuring in front of mirrors within the department store, why are they MOSTLY showing mirror antics from NON-department store mirrors.
